Kumadvathi Residential Central School (KRCS) conducted its Student Council Election for the academic year 2026–27 in a disciplined and fully democratic manner.
Dr. Shivakumar G.S., Principal of Kumadvathi College of Education and Management Representative, who attended as the election observer, addressed the students, stating, “Future leadership is shaped at the school level. Great leaders who contributed to nation-building and social progress first raised their voice for justice during their school days. School is the first platform—make the best use of it and emerge as future leaders.”
Administrative Coordinator Kuberappa K extended his wishes, saying, “India stands as a model parliamentary democracy in the world. Aspire to become responsible leaders of such a great nation.”

Principal Prashanth H.D., who also served as the Election Commissioner, briefed students on the importance of elections and the rules governing the democratic process.
The election was conducted on the lines of a real parliamentary system, including nomination filing, scrutiny, campaigning, and voting through Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), creating awareness about democratic practices. Over 500 students from Classes 5 to 10 exercised their franchise.
Elections were held for key positions including Head Boy, Head Girl, Sports Secretary, Cultural Secretary, and House Captains of four houses.
Prabhu R served as the Deputy Election Commissioner. Faculty members Jiavulla, Bhagyalakshmi, Channesh, and Kavya Patil from the Social Science Department efficiently handled election responsibilities. The entire process was smoothly conducted with the support of teachers and NCC cadets.
