ಗೃಹ ಸಚಿವ ಪ್ರಿಯಾಂಕ್ ಖರ್ಗೆ ಅವರ ತವರು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ ಕಲಬುರಗಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ (Kalaburagi) ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಕಾರಾಗೃಹದಿಂದ ಮೂವರು ಸಜಾ ಕೈದಿಗಳು ಪರಾರಿಯಾದ ಘಟನೆ ಆತಂಕಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿದೆ.
ಮಸ್ತಾನ್, ಸಂತೋಷ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾಗರ್ ಪರಾರಿಯಾದ ಕೈದಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಬೀದರ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಕೊಲೆ ಪ್ರಕರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಮೂವರು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಗೆ ಒಳಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರು. ಮಧ್ಯರಾತ್ರಿ ಸುಮಾರು 3 ಗಂಟೆಯ ವೇಳೆಗೆ ಜೈಲಿನ ಕಂಪೌಂಡ್ ಹಾರಿ ಪರಾರಿಯಾಗಿರುವುದಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿದುಬಂದಿದೆ.

ಕೈದಿಗಳ ಪರಾರಿಯ ಹಿಂದೆ ಜೈಲು ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಯ ಸಹಕಾರವಿರುವ ಶಂಕೆಯೂ ವ್ಯಕ್ತವಾಗಿದೆ. ಮಧ್ಯರಾತ್ರಿ ಲಾಕಪ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಬೇಕಾದ ಕೈದಿಗಳು ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದು ಹೇಗೆ ಎಂಬ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ ಉದ್ಭವಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಈ ಪ್ರಕರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಜೈಲಿನ ಕೆಲ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಮತ್ತು ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ಪಾತ್ರವಿದೆ ಎಂಬ ಆರೋಪಗಳು ಕೇಳಿಬರುತ್ತಿವೆ.
ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಫರ್ತಾಬಾದ್ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ತನಿಖೆ ಮುಂದುವರಿದಿದೆ.
ಇದೇ ನಡುವೆ, ಜುಲೈ 3ರಂದು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಅಫಜಲಪುರ್ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಿಂದ ಪೋಕ್ಸೊ ಪ್ರಕರಣದ ಆರೋಪಿ ಮಂಜುನಾಥ್ ಪರಾರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ಘಟನೆ ಕೂಡ ಇನ್ನೂ ನೆನಪಿನಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಕಳೆದ ವಾರ ಪೋಕ್ಸೊ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿದ್ದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆರೋಪಿಯನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸಿ ಠಾಣೆಗೆ ಕರೆತಂದಿದ್ದ ಪೊಲೀಸರು, ಬಳಿಕ ಅವನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಎಂಬ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಲಭ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ.
ಸತತವಾಗಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಇಂತಹ ಪರಾರಿ ಘಟನೆಗಳು ಕಾನೂನು ಸುವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಪ್ರಶ್ನಾರ್ಥಕ ಚಿಹ್ನೆ ಮೂಡಿಸುತ್ತಿವೆ.
Three Convicted Prisoners Escape from Kalaburagi Central Jail
In a shocking incident, three convicted prisoners escaped from the Central Jail in Kalaburagi, the home district of Karnataka’s Home Minister Priyank Kharge.
The escaped inmates have been identified as Mastan, Santosh, and Sagar. They were serving sentences in connection with a murder case reported in Bidar. According to preliminary information, the trio managed to flee around 3:00 AM by scaling the prison compound wall.
Suspicion has also arisen over possible involvement of jail staff in the escape. Questions are being raised about how the prisoners, who were supposed to be inside the lockup at midnight, were found outside. Allegations suggest that some prison staff and officials may have aided the escape.
A case has been registered at the Farhatabad Police Station, and an investigation is currently underway.
Meanwhile, in a related development, an accused in a POCSO case, identified as Manjunath, had escaped from the Afzalpur Police Station in the district on July 3. He had been taken into custody just a week after the case was registered.
The repeated escape incidents in the district have raised serious concerns over law and order and the functioning of the prison and police systems.
