ಚಾಲಕನ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣ ತಪ್ಪಿ ಟೊಮೆಟೊ (Tomato) ಸಾಗಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಟೆಂಪೋವೊಂದು ಪಲ್ಟಿಯಾದ ಪರಿಣಾಮ, ವಾಹನದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಟೊಮೆಟೊ ಬಾಕ್ಸ್ಗಳು ರಸ್ತೆಯುದ್ದಕ್ಕೂ ಚೆಲ್ಲಾಪಿಲ್ಲಿಯಾಗಿ ಬಿದ್ದ ಘಟನೆ ಸಾಗರ (Sagara) ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಉಳ್ಳೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಸಮೀಪ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದಿದೆ.
ಟೆಂಪೋದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದ ಟೊಮೆಟೊ ಹಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಾಗಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಉಳ್ಳೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಸಮೀಪ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಚರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ವೇಳೆ ಚಾಲಕನ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣ ತಪ್ಪಿದ ಟೆಂಪೋ ಏಕಾಏಕಿ ಪಲ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಅಪಘಾತದ ರಭಸಕ್ಕೆ ಟೆಂಪೋದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಟೊಮೆಟೊ ಬಾಕ್ಸ್ಗಳು ರಸ್ತೆಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದು, ಹಲವು ಟೊಮೆಟೊಗಳು ನಜ್ಜುಗುಜ್ಜಾಗಿ ಹಾನಿಗೊಳಗಾಗಿವೆ.
ಅಪಘಾತದಿಂದಾಗಿ ರಸ್ತೆ ಮೇಲೆಲ್ಲ ಕೆಂಪು ಬಣ್ಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಟೊಮೆಟೊಗಳು ಹರಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ದೃಶ್ಯ ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿದೆ. ಸಾಗಾಟದ ವೇಳೆ ಹಾನಿಗೊಳಗಾದ ಟೊಮೆಟೊಗಳಿಂದಾಗಿ ವಾಹನ ಮಾಲೀಕರಿಗೆ ಹಾಗೂ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರಿಗೆ ಸಾವಿರಾರು ರೂಪಾಯಿ ನಷ್ಟ ಉಂಟಾಗಿರುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆ ಇದೆ.
ಅದೃಷ್ಟವಶಾತ್ ಚಾಲಕ, ನಿರ್ವಾಹಕ ಪಾರು
ಟೆಂಪೋ ಪಲ್ಟಿಯಾದ ರಭಸ ತೀವ್ರವಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ, ಚಾಲಕ ಹಾಗೂ ನಿರ್ವಾಹಕರು ಯಾವುದೇ ಗಂಭೀರ ಗಾಯಗಳಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಪ್ರಾಣಾಪಾಯದಿಂದ ಪಾರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅಪಘಾತದ ಬಳಿಕ ಕೆಲಕಾಲ ಆತಂಕದ ವಾತಾವರಣ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರು ಹಾಗೂ ವಾಹನ ಸವಾರರು ನೆರವಿಗೆ ಧಾವಿಸಿ, ರಸ್ತೆ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದ ಟೊಮೆಟೊ ಬಾಕ್ಸ್ಗಳನ್ನು ತೆರವುಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಸಹಕರಿಸಿದರು.

ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ತಹಶೀಲ್ದಾರ್ ಭೇಟಿ
ಅಪಘಾತದ ವಿಷಯ ತಿಳಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆಯೇ ಸಾಗರ ತಹಶೀಲ್ದಾರ್ ಡಾ. ಪ್ರತಿಭಾ ಆರ್. ಅವರು ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ಪರಿಶೀಲನೆ ನಡೆಸಿದರು. ಅಪಘಾತಕ್ಕೀಡಾದ ಟೆಂಪೋ ಹಾಗೂ ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚೆಲ್ಲಾಪಿಲ್ಲಿಯಾಗಿ ಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದ ಟೊಮೆಟೊಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಿದ ಅವರು, ಘಟನೆಯ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡರು.
ಅಪಘಾತದಿಂದ ಆಘಾತಕ್ಕೊಳಗಾಗಿದ್ದ ಚಾಲಕನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ತಹಶೀಲ್ದಾರ್ ಡಾ. ಪ್ರತಿಭಾ ಆರ್. ಅವರು ಧೈರ್ಯ ತುಂಬಿ, ಆತಂಕಪಡದಂತೆ ಸಾಂತ್ವನ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಚಾಲಕ ಹಾಗೂ ನಿರ್ವಾಹಕರ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆಯೂ ವಿಚಾರಿಸಿದರು.
ನಂತರ ರಸ್ತೆ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದ ಟೊಮೆಟೊ ಬಾಕ್ಸ್ಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ವಾಹನವನ್ನು ತೆರವುಗೊಳಿಸಿ, ಸಂಚಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ತೊಂದರೆಯಾಗದಂತೆ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟವರಿಗೆ ಸೂಚನೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಘಟನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವುದೇ ಪ್ರಾಣಹಾನಿ ಅಥವಾ ಗಂಭೀರ ಗಾಯಗಳಾಗದಿರುವುದು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಮ್ಮದಿ ಮೂಡಿಸಿದೆ. ಅಪಘಾತಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಖರ ಕಾರಣವೇನು ಎಂಬುದು ಪರಿಶೀಲನೆಯ ಬಳಿಕ ತಿಳಿದುಬರಬೇಕಿದೆ.
Tempo Overturns, Tomatoes Spill Across National Highway
Sagara: A tempo carrying tomatoes overturned after the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle near Ulluru village on the National Highway in Sagara taluk. The accident caused tomato boxes to scatter across the road, with several tomatoes getting crushed.
The incident occurred while the tempo was transporting a large quantity of tomatoes. Following the accident, the boxes fell onto the highway and the tomatoes were strewn across the road, causing considerable damage to the produce. The incident is expected to have resulted in a loss of thousands of rupees.
Driver and cleaner escape unhurt
Despite the impact of the accident, the tempo driver and cleaner escaped without any serious injuries. Their narrow escape brought relief to locals and other motorists who reached the spot soon after the incident.
Tahsildar visits accident spot
After receiving information about the accident, Sagara Tahsildar Dr. Prathibha R. visited the spot and inspected the overturned tempo and the tomatoes scattered on the road.
The Tahsildar also spoke to the driver, who was reportedly shaken by the incident, and consoled him. She assured him of support and encouraged him to remain calm following the accident.
Local people also helped clear the tomato boxes and produce from the road to facilitate the smooth movement of traffic.
The exact reason for the accident is yet to be ascertained. Fortunately, no casualties or serious injuries were reported in the incident.
