A 41-year-old man from West Bengal developed kidney failure after just 3 years of diabetes. To save her husband’s life, his wife donated her kidney, and doctors at Medicover Hospital successfully performed a kidney transplant, giving him a new lease of life.
Generally, kidney damage due to diabetes and hypertension occurs after 10–15 years. But in this rare case, Diabetic Kidney Disease was diagnosed from Kidney Biopsy within just 3 years. For the past 2 months, the patient had been undergoing dialysis three times a week.
