With the increasing number of Corona Virus cases in the city, commissioner of Mahanagara Palike has ordered a complete lock down of many old Shivamogga areas

In this regard, Commissioner of Mahanagara Palike, Sri Chidananda Watare said that the entire lock-down will be in place in the wards prescribed from 5 am on July 23 to 5 am on July 30.

The lock down will be in Ward Nos. 12, 13, 22, 23, 29, 30 and 33 of Old Shivamogga.

The order stated that no one can get out of these wards and no one will get in.

Which areas come under:
Areas in the vicinity of Bekkina Kalmutt, BH Road, Amir Ahmed Circle, .O T Road, Ashoka Circle, KSRTC Bus Stand, Tunga New Bridge.

Exceptions to:
Complete exemption for hospitals, medical shops, milk shops.
Vegetable, groceries and fruit sale are allowed only between 5 am and 10 am.
