A One Day Workshop on Incubation Awareness was conducted under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Scheme of the Government of India.
The program was organized by the Department of Industries and Commerce, District Industries Centre (DIC), Shivamogga, and Karnataka Council for Technological Upgradation (KCTU), Bengaluru, in association with the PES Institute of Technology and Management (PESITM), Shivamogga. The workshop aimed to create awareness among students, innovators, and aspiring entrepreneurs regarding incubation opportunities, financial assistance, and support mechanisms available under the RAMP initiative.
The workshop was inaugurated by Jois Ramachar, President, Shivamogga District Small Industries Association (R). In his inaugural remarks, he emphasized the growing relevance of innovation-driven entrepreneurship and explained how the RAMP scheme can play a vital role in strengthening the MSME sector in the region.
The event was graced by distinguished guests of honour, including Dr. Nagaraja R., Registrar, PES Trust, Shivamogga; Sri R. Ganesh, Joint Director, District Industries Centre, Shivamogga; and Sri Hanumanthappa P., Lead Bank Chief Manager, Canara Bank, Shivamogga. The dignitaries addressed the participants on the significance of incubation facilities, technology adoption, and stronger industry–academia partnerships to accelerate entrepreneurial growth.
Presiding over the event, Dr. Swamy D. R., Principal, PESITM, urged students and young innovators to actively utilize government schemes and institutional support systems to convert their ideas into viable business ventures.
The workshop, held at the PESITM Seminar Hall, witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members, students, budding innovators, and representatives from various industry bodies. The program concluded with an engaging interactive session.
The event successfully created awareness about the incubation ecosystem and encouraged the next generation of entrepreneurs to explore the opportunities offered through the RAMP scheme.
