A patient from the Middle East, who had been wrongly suspected of lung cancer following an X-ray and CT scan, sought consultation at Medicover Hospitals, Bengaluru.
During his annual health check-up in the Middle East, doctors suspected that he might have lung cancer.The patient, suffering from cough, breathing difficulty, and right lung problems, met Dr. Manjunath B.G, Consultant Pulmonologist, Medicover Hospitals. After reviewing the investigations, Dr. Manjunath confirmed that there was no evidence of lung cancer. Instead, further evaluation with blood tests and bronchoscopy revealed that one part of the lung was blocked due to Allergic Bronchopulmonary Aspergillosis (ABPA).

Speaking about the case, Dr. Manjunath B.G said, If patients approach the right specialist at the right time, unnecessary tests and wrong diagnoses can be avoided.
