But itnwas hiked to 42 se cent after the BJP-led government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi came to power. The Congress leaders were making baseless allegations against the Central Government to mislead the people.

The government was trying to mislead the people by blaming the central government for doing injustice to Karnataka.

Bommai said the state would not only get the grant from the central government not only the GST
compensation but also for the other central government sponsored schemes. Besides, the money was directly credited in to the bank account of the beneficiaries by the union government. Hiding this, the state had been claiming of injustice to the state from the central government. The money for Peripheral Ring Road would come from the central government provided the state government starts the project. The Government of India has given around Rs 13000 crore for National Highwaya as well as for railway projects. The state had received funds from various schemes like the Pradhan mantri Awas, Swachcha Bharat, aayushman Bharat and Amrit Nagar.

Bommai said since no one opposed their resolution, the BJP’s resolution had been accepted unanimously.
