Shri A.G. Srinivas, an officer of the Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE) of 1989 batch, has assumed charge as Additional General Manager (AGM), South Western Railway.
Srinivas joined Indian Railways as a Probationary Trainee at IRICEN, Pune on 7th January 1991. Upon completion of training, he was posted as Assistant Engineer (AEN) in South Central Railway on 8th January 1993. Over the years, he has served in various key assignments across South Central Railway, South Western Railway, and Southern Railway, gaining extensive experience in field operations as well as administrative roles.
On promotion to Junior Administrative Grade (JAG) in May 2000, he continued to contribute significantly while serving at Hubballi and Tirupati. Subsequently, he was elevated to Selection Grade and served in important positions at Tirupati, Guntakal, Raichur, and Headquarters/SCR.

Srinivas was promoted to Senior Administrative Grade (SAG) in April 2012 and served as Chief Engineer at Headquarters, South Central Railway. Later, on his elevation to Higher Administrative Grade (HAG) in December 2019, he held key positions including Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Salem Division in Southern Railway, and Chief Engineer (Special Duties) & Chief Planning & Design Engineer (CPDE) at South Central Railway.
During his illustrious career spanning over three decades, Shri A.G. Srinivas has successfully executed several major infrastructure projects, including commissioning of approximately 500 kilometres of railway lines and redevelopment of multiple stations, contributing significantly to capacity enhancement and modernization of Indian Railways.
Prior to assuming the present post, he was working as Chief Administrative Officer (Construction), Bhubaneswar since November 2023.
