Sri Rama Lalitha Kala Mandira is a premier Organisation in South Bangalore, was founded by Late Sri.G. Vedanta Iyengar in 1955. His daughters Vainika Vid. G.V. Ranganayakamna, Violin vid. G.V. Neela, son, mridangist and reputed organiser Sri. G.V. Krishnaprasad dedicated themselves for the cause of music and built the Organisation to its present stature as one of the premier organisations in Bangalore.
Late Sri.G.V. Krishnaprasad worked as its Secretary until his demise in 2023. Since it’s inception, from over SRLKM has been organising classical music Concerts, workshops, discourses and other cultural eventsunder his able leadership.After his demise in 2023, Dr. M.R. Yogananda, Hon Secretary of the organisation, has been following the footsteps of his mentor and uncle, steadily leading it to greater heights. Monthly concerts, workshops, by reputed artists have attracted huge South Bangalore audience.
This year’s Annual Spring Music Festival Stage is all set to begin this month. SRLKM is organising its Annual Spring Music Festival 2025 from 2nd to 9th February at Bangalore Gayana Samaj from 5.30pm daily, featuring over 30 eminent artists.Artists from across the country are performing including well-known vocalists Trichur brothers-Vid. Krishna Mohan and Vid.Ramkumar Mohan, Vid. Aishwarya Vidya Raghunath, Vid. Ramakrishna Murthy, Bangalore brothers-Vid. M.B. Hariharan and Vid.S. Ashok, renowned Harikatha exponent Vid. Vishakha Hari, famous flautist Vid. Amit Nadig, reputed Vainika Vid. Jayanthi Kumaresh along with very accomplished artists on Violin and Percussion. Entries for the concerts are free and it is a great opportunity for rasikas, artists and students of music to take part in this special festival.
