The 9th edition of Mulam, a National seminar and Dance festival 2024 celebrating Guru-Shishya Parampara organized by Shambhavi School of Dance will be held on 20th and 21st July from 4.30pm to 8.30 pm at Kondaji Basappa Auditorium, Bengaluru.
The essence of the guru-shishya bond remains timeless and irreplaceable especially in performing arts. The guru-shishya tradition is not just a method of teaching, but a bond that transcends time. But with the Impact of Technology, Modern Pedagogical Approaches, Cultural Exchange and Fusion in Dance Education , Professional Development and Financial Sustainability, the Guru-Shishya Dynamic has undergone many changes.Smt.Vyjyanthi Kashi, the brain behind Mulam strongly believes that together, the Guru and Shishya can create rhythms full of emotions that bridge the past and the future. She strongly believes as we adapt to modern times, let us hold on to the values that make this relationship unique.
With the changing and challenging times, as we embrace change, let us ensure that the art and heart of the guru-shishya relationship bonds stronger than ever. Both gurus and shishyas must navigate these changes to preserve the essence of this unique and beautiful bond.
This is the very objective of 9th edition of Mulam, a National seminar and Dance festival scheduled on 20th and 21st July from 4.30 pm to 8.30 pm at Kondaji Basappa Auditorium.

Panel Discussion by Gurus and Shishyas addressing various concerns that surface between a Guru and Shishya, from both their perspectives.

The Panel Discussions will take off at 4:30pm and performances from 6.00pm to 8.30pm.
Mulam is all set to be a source of knowledge to all connoisseurs, performers and aspirants, as well as a visual treat. The entry to the event is free.
The festival will be inaugurated by Prof Nagesh V Bettakote, Vice Chancellor of Dr.Gangubhai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University Mysore and Dr Vidya Rao H O D of performing Arts and Cultural Studies, Jain University.
