South Western Railway, Mysuru Division, organised a Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with Railway Hospital, Mysuru, and the Blood Bank of K.R. Hospital / Mysore Medical College & Research Institute as part of its ongoing commitment to social welfare and community service.
The programme was inaugurated by Shri Mudit Mittal, Divisional Railway Manager, Mysuru, who actively participated in the camp by donating blood. Shri Shammas Hameed, Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Mysuru, Dr. Ashok Kumar B.N., Chief Medical Superintendent, Mysuru, branch officers, and officials from K.R. Hospital and the Blood Bank attended the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Mudit Mittal emphasized the significance of voluntary blood donation in saving precious lives and supporting healthcare services. He appreciated the enthusiastic participation of railway employees and volunteers who came forward to contribute to this noble cause.

The camp received an encouraging response, with 42 volunteers donating blood. The initiative helped enhance blood reserves for emergency medical requirements while fostering a spirit of social responsibility among railway personnel. Mysuru Division remains committed to promoting public welfare activities and will continue to organise programmes that contribute to the well-being of society.
