As part of the inauguration programme, a tree plantation drive was organised on the station premises. The initiative highlighted the importance of maintaining clean surroundings while also promoting environmental conservation and the creation of greener public spaces.
Later, a programme was held at the station, during which DRM Smt. Bela Meena administered the Swachhata Pledge to the participants. She stressed that cleanliness should not be viewed merely as an activity undertaken during a designated campaign period, but should become a continuous and collective responsibility.
She urged railway officials, employees and members of the public to make cleanliness a regular practice and contribute actively towards maintaining clean railway stations and public spaces. She also called upon everyone to work towards fulfilling the vision of ‘Swachh Bharat, Viksit Bharat’ through sustained efforts and responsible participation.

Through these initiatives, the railway division aims to encourage young people to actively participate in cleanliness drives and develop long-term awareness about the importance of maintaining clean and healthy surroundings.
Health and Safety of Sanitation Workers
Special attention has also been given to the welfare and safety of sanitation workers under the ‘Safai Mitra Suraksha Evam Samman’ initiative.
As part of the programme, health check-ups for sanitation workers will be organised, along with the distribution of essential safety equipment. The initiative seeks to promote the health, safety and well-being of sanitation personnel involved in maintaining cleanliness across railway premises.
Public Participation in Cleanliness Drives
The Hubballi Railway Division will also organise comprehensive cleanliness programmes with the active participation of the public. The campaign seeks to strengthen the involvement of citizens in maintaining clean railway stations and surrounding public areas.
Various activities will be undertaken under the concept of ‘Swachhata Se Samriddhi Ki Ore’, highlighting the importance of cleanliness as an integral part of sustainable development and improved quality of life.

These activities will include special cleanliness drives, Shramdaan programmes, cleanliness awareness campaigns, Nukkad Nataks (street plays) and other public outreach initiatives. The programmes will seek to communicate the importance of cleanliness through direct community participation and awareness activities.
