S.P. Praveen, an officer of the Indian Railway Service of Signal Engineers (IRSSE), 2015 batch, has assumed additional charge as the Divisional Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Hubballi Division under South Western Railway.
Presently serving as Senior Divisional Signal and Telecommunication Engineer (Sr. DSTE), Shri S.P. Praveen will continue to oversee the Signal and Telecommunication Department while additionally discharging the responsibilities of Public Relations Officer.
During his tenure, Shri Praveen has achieved several significant milestones, particularly in the effective adoption and implementation of modern technologies aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and system reliability. In recognition of his outstanding performance and professional excellence, he has been conferred with the General Manager’s Merit Award for the year 2025–26.
A sports enthusiast, Shri Praveen has also actively contributed to the promotion of sports and employee welfare activities in Indian Railways. He is presently serving as Secretary for Event Management, Sports Development and Club Infrastructure, where he has played a key role in organizing various initiatives and strengthening sports infrastructure within the division.
With his rich experience in Indian Railways, Shri Praveen has made notable contributions to administrative improvements and technological advancement. He is expected to further strengthen the Signal and Telecommunication systems of the Hubballi Division while also contributing effectively to public relations, media coordination, and stakeholder engagement.
