Division of the South Western Railway organized All India Pension Adalat – 2024 today. The event aimed to address and resolve pension-related grievances of retired railway employees.
Senior Divisional Personnel Officer, Shri K. Asif Hafeez, addressed the gathering and emphasized the vital role played by the retired employees in the development of railways. He assured the participants that railways remain committed in prioritizing the welfare of pensioners.
The Adalat has been conducted for swift solutions to pensioners’ grievances. Issues such as discrepancies in service records, Pension Payment Orders (PPOs), settlement sheets and pension statements were addressed. Additionally, family pension issues, often arising due to disputes, also resolved through proper documentation, he added.

Shri Dr. Anup, Senior Divisional Finance Manager highlighted the efforts of the Accounts branch in resolving various pension related issues, including family pensions. He stated that such initiatives significantly reduced inconvenience to pensioners. Due to the efficiency of the Personal and Accounts branches, the number of pending cases in the Adalat has shown a decreasing trend.
Pensioners, representatives of pensioners, associations, officers and staff of personal and accounts branches have attended the program. A total of 13 cases were resolved during the adalat, and three new cases were registered.
