The Indian U18 Women’s Hockey Team delivered a breathtaking attacking performance to demolish Singapore 25–0 in their final Pool A match of the Women’s U18 Asia Cup 2026 in Kakamigahara, Japan, on Tuesday.
With this emphatic victory, India completed the pool stage unbeaten, finishing at the top of Pool A with a perfect nine points and booking a place in the semifinals in dominant fashion.
India’s incredible depth in attack was evident as 10 different players found the net. The standout performer was Nousheen Naz, who netted a remarkable seven goals (8’, 13’, 17’, 18’, 40’, 52’, 58’). Geethasri Nammi, adjudged Player of the Match, scored five times (13’, 28’, 47’, 48’, 60’), while captain Sweety Kujur contributed four goals (2’, 24’, 38’, 45’).
Priyanka Minz added a hat-trick (22’, 37’, 53’), and the remaining goals came from Diya, Nancy Saroha, Shruti Kumari, Pushpa Manjhi, Rashmeen Kaur, and Sandeepa Kumari, completing a historic rout.
India wasted no time asserting dominance, with captain Sweety opening the scoring in just the second minute. Nousheen doubled the lead soon after, and quick strikes from Geethasri and Nousheen in the 13th minute put the match firmly out of Singapore’s reach early on.
The second quarter saw relentless pressure, with Nousheen completing a rapid scoring burst and further goals from Priyanka and Sweety giving India an overwhelming advantage by halftime.
The momentum continued after the break as India tore through Singapore’s defense. Goals flowed freely in the third quarter, with multiple players getting on the scoresheet. The final quarter turned into a complete goal-fest, with India adding ten more goals to cap off one of the most dominant performances ever seen at the U18 level.
Having already secured wins over Malaysia and Korea earlier in the tournament, India now advances to the semifinals as strong title contenders. Their next opponents will be determined following the conclusion of Pool B matches.
