Over 100 students carrying awareness messages around this year’s theme #BreakTheBias participated in the bike rally. The bikers led by Aishwarya Pissay, a professional motorcycle racer at TVS Motor Company and an alumnus of the college, led the pack of drivers who drove through the city roads spreading the message on the importance of building a gender-equal world. Many enthusiastic morning city walkers received the bike rally which culminated at Vidhan Soudha.
Speaking on occasion, Sahana Kumari said, “With sheer will, women can be everything they want to be and do anything they want to do.”
“There is no dearth of women talent, and it is only lack of opportunities. A gender-equal world only can fix this”, said Archana Surana, Managing Trustee of the college.
“I think, after watching a group of girls riding bikes on the streets, more and more parents will open their minds, and we will see girls riding bikes in the city soon,” said a happy city cop.
