Margazhi Matram 2025 – the 6th edition – is an inclusive and innovative arts festival that continues to blur boundaries across abilities, disciplines, backgrounds, and cultures.
This year’s theme, “Hearing and Listening,” invites rasikas to reflect deeply on how we perceive, experience, and engage with music—beyond sound alone. The festival features close to 60 programs and over 400 performers, including ensembles and solo artists.
Artists with disabilities, cross-cultural collaborations, and PIO artistes are seamlessly integrated alongside mainstream performers, reinforcing Margazhi Matram’s commitment to equity and artistic excellence. The event form December 24-28 will be at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mini Hall, 2nd floor.
Highlights of MARGAZHI MATRAM 2025 are
1. Piloting Assistive Technology: Cymatics, for Inclusive and Immersive Concert Experiences
This includes sign language interpretation and musical abhinaya through dance, enabling multi-sensory engagement with music. A special presentation by Rishabh Kaushik and team on December 26, 2025 at 5:15 pm
2. Over 30 Thematic Presentations exploring concepts such as science meets arts, intersections of visual and performing arts, arts and nature, and inclusivity and perception. presented by a upcoming artists and experts with new perspectives.
3. Margazhi Matram goes to Sabhas for the first time, presenting some of its special artists across different venues. bringing inclusive and experimental programming into mainstream concert spaces.
President & Founder of SciArtsRUs Dr. Ranjini Kaushik says that ‘Every day of the festival offers unique and thought-provoking presentations, engaging the rasika while encouraging audiences to think beyond conventional concert formats.
