As part of the Election Commission of India’s statewide Special Summary Revision of the Electoral Roll–2026, significant progress has been made in Shivamogga district, Deputy Commissioner Prabhulinga Kavalikatti stated.
Across the district’s seven Assembly constituencies, a total of 1,793 Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are engaged in the process, covering 15,19,459 registered voters. So far, 12,44,670 e-forms (81.92%) have been distributed, while 70,540 forms (4.64%) have been digitized.
Constituency-wise Progress:
- Shivamogga Rural: Out of 2,20,250 voters, 1,93,394 (87.81%) e-forms have been distributed. With 18,879 forms (8.57%) digitized, this constituency leads the district.
- Bhadravati: Of 2,14,907 voters, 1,62,742 (75.73%) e-forms have been distributed, and 8,824 (4.12%) have been digitized.

- Shivamogga City: The constituency has the highest number of voters at 2,77,098. So far, 1,94,410 (70.16%) e-forms have been distributed, but only 3,486 (1.26%) have been digitized.
- Thirthahalli: Out of 1,92,314 voters, 1,66,822 (86.74%) e-forms have been distributed, with 11,810 (6.14%) digitized.
- Shikaripura: Of 2,06,415 voters, 1,71,595 (83.13%) e-forms have been distributed. Currently, 9,573 (4.64%) forms are digitized.
- Soraba: With 1,98,955 voters, 1,75,244 (88.08%) e-forms have been distributed—the highest in the district. So far, 9,400 (4.72%) forms have been digitized.
- Sagar: Out of 2,09,520 voters, 1,80,463 (86.13%) e-forms have been distributed, and 8,568 (4.09%) have been digitized.
Overall, while the distribution of e-forms has shown strong progress across the district, efforts are being made to speed up the digitization process, the Deputy Commissioner added.
