Children are the future of any society. It is the resposibility of every society to care for the children who are helpless and orphaned, so they grow up as good citizens , help them transition to adulthood as leaders lest they deviate and prove a threat to the society. Several Organsations work for this cause.
“Sampattu” is one such orphanage working towards shaping male orphan children as future assets ( Sampattu) of the nation. The establishment was started in 2012 by Bharath Seva Sangha , an NGO. Over 18 children are provided with food, shelter, education. In addition the orphanage has undertaken several programs to impart culture and values to the children to help in their all-round personality development. Teaching various forms of arts like music, theatre, conducting skill development courses, arranging cultural events, music concerts to give them a cultural environment are some of the activities undertaken.

Since 2022 monthly music concerts have been organised on every first Sunday by the cultural wing. More than 30 concerts, workshops, Thyagaraja Aradhana have taken place in this homely venue at Narayana Nagar, Bangalore. The initiative also aims at promoting young talents. Many cultural events have been organised in the past 24 months, including performances by eminent artists, young artists budding artists from various schools workshops on music by eminent gurus to motivate the children of the orphanage. During the concerts the children from the orphanage actively participate in arrangements for the programs and interacting in the events. The cultural wing is about to complete two years in march,
Organisation is slated to conduct several valuable events during the year. These programs not only instil values among the children, they also boost confidence in students pursuing the art forms to handle their passions along with the academics successfully.
The children of the Organisation are blessed to have virtually a life as in a gurukulam. May their tribe increase.
