South Western Railway will operate special trains between Yesvantpur, Madagaon and Bengaluru Cantonment to clear the extra rush of passengers in view of Good Friday and Easter.
Train No. 06271 Yesvantpur–Madagaon Express Special will depart from Yesvantpur at 11.55 p.m. on April 2 and arrive Madagaon at 5.30 p.m. on April 3. In the return direction, Train No. 06272 Madagaon–Bengaluru Cantonment Express Special will leave Madagaon at 11 a.m. on April 5 and reach Bengaluru Cantonment at 5.20 a.m. on April 6.
En route, the trains will halt at Kunigal, Channarayapatna, Hassan, Sakleshpur, Subrahmanya Road, Kabakaputtur, Bantawala, Surathkal, Mulki, Udupi, Barkur, Kundapura, Byndoor (H), Bhatkal, Murdeshwar, Honnavar, Kumta, Gokarna Road, Ankola, Karwar and Cancona stations.
However, Train No. 06272 will not halt at Yesvantpur and will stop at SMVT Bengaluru during its return journey to Bengaluru Cantonment.
The special trains will comprise 19 coaches, including two AC two-tier, two AC three-tier, nine sleeper class, four general second class and two SLR-cum-luggage vans.
