A two-day underarm cricket tournament at the church level of the Mangalore Diocese was successfully held on December 13 and 14 at the Santoshnagar Grounds, Vamanjoor. The tournament was sponsored by SJC Friends Vamanjoor, Ro International and Gajanana Cricketers by Prajwal Films.
A total of 19 teams representing various churches of the Mangalore Diocese participated in the tournament. In the final match, St. Sebastian Permannur Cricket Team delivered an outstanding performance to clinch the Kudla Trophy and emerge as champions. Team Paladka secured the runner-up position.
The matches were conducted fairly and efficiently by umpires Rajesh Padil, Saif Bajal, Ranjesh Uchil, Arif Jokatte, and Ashwath Kumpala, who officiated in accordance with the rules.
Rajesh Perera and Sayyad Gurukambla provided engaging and detailed commentary, adding excitement to every stage of the matches.
With excellent cooperation from the players, organizers, and spectators, the cricket tournament concluded successfully. The event offered several thrilling moments for cricket enthusiasts and was well organized under the capable leadership of Rohan Vamanjoor, Sohan, Rolvin, Madhu, Prajna, and Sweety.
