WhatsApp Helpline connects BESCOM consumers

The BESCOM consumers can make use of WhatsApp helpline numbers for speedy and quick remedies for power outages and power-related complaints.

BESCOM has provided 11 WhatsApp helpline numbers to 8 districts of its jurisdiction, of which four WhatsApp helpline numbers are working exclusively for the Bengaluru Urban district.

The existing 24×7 helpline number 1912 has flooded with calls during monsoon /emergencies, the consumers have been unable to connect the same. Considering the inconvenience faced by the consumers, BESCOM has released the 11 WhatsApp helpline numbers for power-related complaints, BESCOM press release said.

Details of WhatsApp helpline numbers:  For Bengaluru Urban district, which has four circles (South, North, West, and East) four WhatsApp numbers are available. The remaining 7 districts, 7 WhatsApp numbers have been provided.

North circle:8277884014,

Kolar District : 8277884015, Chikkaballapura District: 8277884016, Bengaluru Rural District: 8277884017, Ramanagara District: 8277884018, Tumakuru District: 8277884019, Chitradurga District: 8277884020, and Davangere District: 8277884021
Pre-monsoon will commence in the state in the coming days, thus, 1912 will be flooded with complaints. Consumers can reach out WhatsApp helpline numbers of their respective districts by sending messages along with photos and videos of power-related issues, said the BESCOM press release.
