Southern Railway has notified the operation of four-trip special trains between Tiruchchirappalli and Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru to clear extra passenger rush during the summer season.
Train No. 06007 will depart from Tiruchchirappalli at 05:30 a.m. on 07.04.2026, 14.04.2026, 21.04.2026, and 28.04.2026 (Tuesdays) and arrive at SMVT Bengaluru at 01:30 p.m. on the same day. In the return direction, Train No. 06008 will leave SMVT Bengaluru at 03:00 p.m. on 07.04.2026, 14.04.2026, 21.04.2026, and 28.04.2026 (Tuesdays) and reach Tiruchchirappalli Junction at 10:30 p.m. on the same day.
The train will have stoppages at Karur, Namakkal, Salem, Bangarapet, and Krishnarajapuram in both directions. The special train will consist of two AC Chair Car coaches, eight Second Class Chair Car coaches, six Second Class Antyodaya coaches, one Second Class Luggage cum Brake Van with a Divyangjan-friendly compartment, and one Brake, Luggage, and Generator Car, totalling 18 coaches.
