South Coast Railway has notified the extension of the periodicity of Train Nos. 08581/08582 Visakhapatnam–SMVT Bengaluru–Visakhapatnam Weekly Special Express services to clear the extra rush of passengers. The trains will continue to operate with the existing stoppages, timings and composition.
Accordingly, Train No. 08581 Visakhapatnam–SMVT Bengaluru Weekly Special, departing from Visakhapatnam every Friday, which was earlier notified to run up to 31.07.2026, has now been extended to operate from 07.08.2026 to 25.09.2026.
Similarly, Train No. 08582 SMVT Bengaluru–Visakhapatnam Weekly Special, departing from SMVT Bengaluru every Saturday, which was earlier notified to run up to 01.08.2026, has now been extended to operate from 08.08.2026 to 26.09.2026.

During the extended period, the special train services will operate 08 trips in each direction, providing additional travel accommodation for passengers between Visakhapatnam and SMVT Bengaluru.
