ಮುಂಬರುವ ಈದ್ ಮಿಲಾದ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಗೌರಿ-ಗಣೇಶ ಹಬ್ಬಗಳ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ (Shivamogga) ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಇಲಾಖೆ ನಗರ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಾದ್ಯಂತ ಮುಂಜಾಗ್ರತಾ ಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಚುರುಕುಗೊಳಿಸಿದೆ. ಹಬ್ಬಗಳ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವುದೇ ಅಹಿತಕರ ಘಟನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಅವಕಾಶವಾಗದಂತೆ ನಗರದ ಸೂಕ್ಷ್ಮ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶೇಷ ಚೀತಾ ಗಸ್ತು ಪಡೆಯನ್ನು (Special Cheetah Patrol) ನಿಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಹಬ್ಬಗಳ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಂತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸೌಹಾರ್ದ ವಾತಾವರಣ ಕಾಪಾಡುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಹಲವು ಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿದೆ. ವಿವಿಧೆಡೆ ರೂಟ್ ಮಾರ್ಚ್, ಶಾಂತಿ ಸಭೆಗಳು, ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಬ್ರೀಫಿಂಗ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಫ್ಲೆಕ್ಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ಬ್ಯಾನರ್ ಮುದ್ರಣ ಅಂಗಡಿ ಮಾಲೀಕರ ಸಭೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಹಬ್ಬದ ಬಂದೋಬಸ್ತ್ಗೆ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಸಿದ್ಧತೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿರುವ ಚೀತಾ ಗಸ್ತು ಪಡೆ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ತಮ್ಮ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಗಸ್ತು ನಡೆಸಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಯಾವುದೇ ಅಹಿತಕರ ಘಟನೆ, ಅನುಮಾನಾಸ್ಪದ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆ ಅಥವಾ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಶಾಂತಿಗೆ ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಉಂಟುಮಾಡುವ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಬಂದ ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಕೆಲವೇ ಕ್ಷಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ತಲುಪಿ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ನಿಯಂತ್ರಿಸುವಂತೆ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಯನ್ನು ಸಜ್ಜುಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಚೀತಾ ಪಡೆ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ತಮ್ಮ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿನ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿರಂತರ ಹಾಗೂ ಸೂಕ್ಷ್ಮ ನಿಗಾ ವಹಿಸಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅನಗತ್ಯ ಕಿರಿಕಿರಿ, ಗುಂಪು ಘರ್ಷಣೆ, ಗೊಂದಲ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾನೂನು ಮತ್ತು ಸುವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಉಂಟುಮಾಡುವ ಯಾವುದೇ ಘಟನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಆರಂಭಿಕ ಹಂತದಲ್ಲೇ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಿಸುವ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಲಿದೆ.
ಈದ್ ಮಿಲಾದ್ ಮೆರವಣಿಗೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಗೌರಿ-ಗಣೇಶ ಹಬ್ಬದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜನದಟ್ಟಣೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗುವ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳು, ಪ್ರಮುಖ ರಸ್ತೆ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳು, ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸೂಕ್ಷ್ಮ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ನಿಗಾ ಇರಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಬಂದಿದೆ.
ಎಸ್ಪಿ ನಿಖಿಲ್ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನ
ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ವರಿಷ್ಠಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ನಿಖಿಲ್ ಅವರ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನದಂತೆ ಚೀತಾ ಗಸ್ತು ಪಡೆಯನ್ನು ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಕರ್ತವ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಯೋಜಿಸಲಾದ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗೆ ಹಿರಿಯ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ವಿಶೇಷ ಬ್ರೀಫಿಂಗ್ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಬ್ರೀಫಿಂಗ್ ವೇಳೆ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯದ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಹಿಸಬೇಕಾದ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ, ತುರ್ತು ಸಂದರ್ಭಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಾದ ಕ್ರಮಗಳು, ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರೊಂದಿಗೆ ವರ್ತಿಸಬೇಕಾದ ರೀತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಅನುಮಾನಾಸ್ಪದ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಹಿರಿಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡುವಂತೆ ಸೂಚಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಳ
ನಗರದ ವಿವಿಧ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂಜಾಗ್ರತಾ ಗಸ್ತನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವುದು, ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಬಲಪಡಿಸುವುದು ಹಾಗೂ ಹಬ್ಬಗಳ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾನೂನು ಮತ್ತು ಸುವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿರಂತರ ನಿಗಾ ಇಡುವುದು ಚೀತಾ ಗಸ್ತು ಪಡೆಯ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಉದ್ದೇಶವಾಗಿದೆ.
ಕರ್ತವ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಯೋಜಿಸಲಾದ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ತಮ್ಮ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿನ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯ ಕುರಿತು ಸದಾ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಬೇಕು. ಯಾವುದೇ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಅಥವಾ ಅಹಿತಕರ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಕಂಡುಬಂದಲ್ಲಿ ತಕ್ಷಣ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಹಿರಿಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ನಿರ್ದೇಶನ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಹಬ್ಬಗಳ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರು ಕೂಡ ಶಾಂತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸೌಹಾರ್ದತೆ ಕಾಪಾಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಇಲಾಖೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಹಕರಿಸುವಂತೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Cheetah Patrols Deployed in Shivamogga
Shivamogga: The Shivamogga District Police have intensified precautionary and security measures across the city and district ahead of the upcoming Eid Milad and Gowri-Ganesha festivals. Special Cheetah patrol teams have been deployed in sensitive and important areas of the city to prevent any untoward incidents during the festive period.
In an effort to maintain peace, communal harmony and public order, the police department has already undertaken several preventive measures across the district. Route marches, peace committee meetings, special briefings for police personnel and meetings with flex and banner printing shop owners have been conducted as part of the overall festival security preparations.
The Cheetah patrol personnel deployed across Shivamogga will conduct continuous patrols within their respective jurisdictions. The teams have been instructed to reach the spot within minutes upon receiving information about any untoward incident, suspicious activity or threat to public peace and to take immediate steps to bring the situation under control.
Close Watch on Every Area
The Cheetah patrol teams will maintain continuous and close surveillance over activities in their respective areas. They have been tasked with preventing unnecessary disturbances, group clashes, confusion and any activities that could affect law and order at an early stage.
Additional police surveillance is expected in areas likely to witness large gatherings during Eid Milad processions and Gowri-Ganesha celebrations, including major roads, public places and other sensitive locations.
Deployment Under SP Nikhil’s Direction
The special Cheetah patrol teams have been deployed in the city under the directions of Shivamogga Superintendent of Police Nikhil. Senior police officers have conducted special briefings for the personnel assigned to festival security duties.
During the briefing, the officers provided detailed instructions on the responsibilities of the personnel, the precautions they need to take within their areas of jurisdiction, the measures to be adopted during emergencies and the manner in which they should interact with the public. Personnel have also been instructed to immediately inform senior officers about any suspicious activities or developments.
Increased Police Presence
Increasing preventive patrolling in different parts of the city, strengthening police presence at public places and maintaining continuous surveillance over the law and order situation during the festivals are among the key objectives of the Cheetah patrol teams.
Police personnel deployed on duty have been instructed to remain alert at all times and take immediate action whenever they receive information about any suspicious activity or untoward situation.
Senior police officials have appealed to the public to maintain peace and communal harmony and cooperate with the police department to ensure the safe and peaceful celebration of the upcoming festivals.
