To accommodate the additional rush of passengers during the weekend holiday period, South Western Railway (SWR) will operate a one-trip Express Special train between Bengaluru Cantonment and Madgaon.
The special service is intended to provide additional travel capacity for passengers travelling between Bengaluru and Goa, as well as important destinations along the coastal Karnataka route.
Bengaluru Cantonment–Madgaon Special
Train No. 06597 Bengaluru Cantonment–Madgaon Express Special will depart from Bengaluru Cantonment at 11:50 PM on Thursday, October 1, 2026.
The train will travel overnight and is scheduled to reach Madgaon at 6:10 PM on Friday, October 2, 2026.
SWR : Return Special from Madgaon
In the return direction, Train No. 06598 Madgaon–Bengaluru Cantonment Express Special will depart from Madgaon at 8:40 AM on Sunday, October 4, 2026.
The train will arrive at Bengaluru Cantonment at 11:55 PM on the same day.
Stops Along the Route
The special train will have scheduled stoppages at several important stations in both directions, providing connectivity to Bengaluru, Hassan, Sakleshpur, coastal Karnataka and Goa.

The scheduled stoppages are expected to benefit passengers travelling to several popular destinations across Hassan, Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uttara Kannada and Goa.
23-Coach Train Composition
The Bengaluru Cantonment–Madgaon Express Special will comprise 23 coaches, offering a mix of AC, Sleeper and General Second Class accommodation.
The coach composition will include:
– 01 AC 2-Tier coach
– 03 AC 3-Tier coaches
– 10 Sleeper Class coaches
– 07 General Second Class coaches
– 02 Second Class-cum-Luggage and Brake Van coaches with Divyangjan-friendly compartments
The inclusion of Divyangjan-friendly compartments will provide accessible travel facilities for passengers with disabilities.
