Shreya presented a lovely concert during the Marghazhi season at Arkay convention centre, Chennai, under the auspicious for Madhuradhwani, an iconic organisation promoting upcoming artists and Senior artists. Shreya’s concert portrayed her rich proficiency in the art beautifully. She presented compositions of trinity, Sri Purandaradasaru and Sri Vadirajaru.
The beginning of the concert was marked by a very well rendered Krithi of Sri Muthuswamy Dikshithar, “Sri NathAdiguruguhojayathijayathi”, in raga Mayamalavagowla with lovely swara prastharam at the lyrical part “Mayamalavagowlaadidesha”.
Next was a pleasing shahanaalapana followed by the beautiful composition, “eevasudhaneevantidaivamu”, one of the “KovuruPancharatnaKrithis” of Saint Thyagaraja with crisp swaraprastharam. Thodi raga was taken up for elaboration.
Raga delineation was full of lovely nuances and yet another composition from the “SrirangaPancharatnam “of Saint Thyagaraja,”rajuvedalejoothamurare” was presented neatly. The classic “Kaveriteeramulanu” was taken up for neraval and swaraprastharam. Rendering of Mukhariragam and devaranama “ninnenambideneeraja Nayana” of Sri. Purandaradasaru in Misrachaputalamwas melodious. The main presentation for the concert was the famous Krithi of Sri. Shyamashastri, ”PalinchuKamakshi“ in Madhyamavathi, set to aditaalam, which was brisk and captivating. She concluded the concert with another soothing devaranama, “Ondubaarismaranesaalade” of Sri. Vadirajaru, in raga Sindhubhairavi. Overall experience was very aesthetic.
She was ably supported on Violin by Kum.Haritha Narayanan, who hails from a musical family and on the Mridangam by the young promising talent Chi. Srikar Chittari.
