Olectra Greentech Limited (OGL), India’s leading electric mobility company, has achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first company in the country to deploy 4,000 electric buses on Indian roads.
The landmark celebration took place in Himachal Pradesh, where Chief Minister Shri Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and Deputy Chief Minister Shri Mukesh Agnihotri received the symbolic keys of Olectra’s 4,000th bus. The event coincided with the induction of 297 Olectra buses into the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) fleet.
Across India, Olectra’s buses have already covered more than 730 million green kilometers, preventing over 650,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions. This contribution is seen as a major step towards cleaner air and sustainable public transport.
In Maharashtra, Olectra’s noiseless and eco-friendly buses are already serving thousands of commuters daily. BEST in Mumbai, MSRTC across the state, PMPML in Pune, and TMC in Thane have adopted Olectra’s electric buses. Passengers have welcomed these buses warmly, appreciating their smooth rides, zero noise, and pollution-free travel experience.
