In a move aimed at managing the additional passenger rush during the festive season, the Railway Board has approved the extension of services of the Train Nos. 07355/07356 SSS Hubballi–Rameswaram–SSS Hubballi Weekly Special Express trains.
The special trains, which were earlier scheduled to operate up to September 2026, will now continue for an extended period, providing additional travel options for passengers between Hubballi and Rameswaram.
Service extended up to November
Train No. 07355 SSS Hubballi–Rameswaram Weekly Special Express, which was earlier scheduled to run up to September 27, 2026, will now operate from October 4 to November 29, 2026.

Similarly, Train No. 07356 Rameswaram–SSS Hubballi Weekly Special Express, earlier scheduled to run up to September 28, 2026, will now operate from October 5 to November 30, 2026.
Nine additional trips
During the extended period, both trains will operate nine additional trips while maintaining their existing schedule, stoppages and coach composition.
The extension is expected to provide relief to passengers travelling during the festive season and help accommodate the increased demand on the Hubballi–Rameswaram route.
The Railway Board’s decision is likely to benefit passengers from Hubballi and other stations along the route by providing additional special train services during the extended period.
