Additional Coach for Shatabdi Express | Here is the details

It has been decided to augment one additional AC Chair Car coach for the Shatabdi Express trains (Nos. 12027/12028) running between KSR Bengaluru and Dr. MGR Chennai Central.

This additional coach will be available for both the Shatabdi Express departing from KSR Bengaluru and departing from Dr. MGR Chennai Central station with effect from July 27, 2025.Previously, the Shatabdi Express was operating with 17 coaches. With the augmentation of this additional coach, the total coach composition will increase to 18 coaches, thereby offering increased seating capacity and greater convenience for passengers travelling between Bengaluru and Chennai.
