ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗದ (Shivamogga) ಕೊಡಚಾದ್ರಿ (Kodachadri) ಶಿಖರ ವೀಕ್ಷಣೆಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಯಲಹಂಕ ಮೂಲದ ಯುವಕ ಶ್ರೀಕಾಂತ್ (28) ಹೃದಯಾಘಾತದಿಂದ ಸಾವನ್ನಪ್ಪಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕೇವಲ ಒಂದು ತಿಂಗಳ ಅಂತರದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ಪ್ರವಾಸಿ ತಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದಿರುವ ಎರಡನೇ ಘಟನೆ ಇದಾಗಿದೆ.
ಜುಲೈ 17ರಂದು ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ್ದ ಶ್ರೀಕಾಂತ್, ಹೊಸನಗರ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಸಂಪೆಕಟ್ಟೆ ಸಮೀಪದ ಕಟ್ಟಿನಹೊಳೆಯ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಂಗಿದ್ದರು. ಇಂದು ಮುಂಜಾನೆ ಕೊಡಚಾದ್ರಿ ಚಾರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಲು ಯೋಜನೆ ಹಾಕಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ, ರಾತ್ರಿ ವೇಳೆ ಶ್ರೀಕಾಂತ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ದಿಢೀರ್ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಏರುಪೇರಾಗಿ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲೇ ಕುಸಿದು ಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಹೊಸನಗರ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ಕರೆದೊಯ್ದರಾದರೂ, ಶ್ರೀಕಾಂತ್ ಅದಾಗಲೇ ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟಿರುವುದಾಗಿ ವೈದ್ಯರು ದೃಢಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ತೀವ್ರ ಹೃದಯಾಘಾತವೇ ಸಾವಿಗೆ ಕಾರಣ ಎನ್ನಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಸದ್ಯ ಮೃತದೇಹವನ್ನು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯ ಶವಗಾರಕ್ಕೆ ರವಾನಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಹೊಸನಗರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಸ್ವಾಭಾವಿಕ ಸಾವು ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಪ್ರಕೃತಿ ಸವಿಯಲು ಬಂದ ಯುವಕ ಹೆಣವಾಗಿ ಮರಳುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಹೆತ್ತವರಿಗೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರಿಗೆ ಭರಿಸಲಾಗದ ದುಃಖ ತಂದಿದೆ.
Shivamogga | Bengaluru Youth Dies of Heart Attack During Kodachadri Trip
A 28-year-old youth, Srikanth, a native of Yelahanka in Bengaluru, who had come to visit the Kodachadri peak, died of a heart attack. This is the second such incident reported at this popular tourist destination within a span of just one month.
Srikanth had arrived with his friends on July 17 and was staying at a friend’s house in Kattinahole near Sampekatte in Hosanagara taluk. The group had planned to go trekking to Kodachadri early in the morning. However, during the night, Srikanth suddenly developed health complications and collapsed at the house.
His friends immediately rushed him to the Hosanagara Government Hospital, but doctors confirmed that he had already passed away. A severe heart attack is said to be the cause of death.
The body has been shifted to the hospital mortuary, and a case of unnatural death has been registered at the Hosanagara Police Station.
The tragic incident of a young man returning lifeless after coming to enjoy nature has left his family and friends in deep grief.
