ಮಲೆನಾಡು ಪ್ರದೇಶವನ್ನು ರಾಜ್ಯ ರಾಜಧಾನಿ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನೊಂದಿಗೆ ವೇಗವಾಗಿ ಸಂಪರ್ಕಿಸುವ ಮಹತ್ವಾಕಾಂಕ್ಷಿ (Shivamogga) ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ–ತುಮಕೂರು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿ-69 (ಹಳೆಯ NH-206) ಚತುಷ್ಪಥ ರಸ್ತೆ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಯೋಜನೆ ಈಗ ಅಂತಿಮ ಹಂತ ತಲುಪಿದೆ. ಈ ಬೃಹತ್ ಯೋಜನೆ 2027ರ ಮಾರ್ಚ್ ವೇಳೆಗೆ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಳ್ಳಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಕೇಂದ್ರ ರಸ್ತೆ ಸಾರಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿಗಳ ಸಚಿವ ನಿತಿನ್ ಗಡ್ಕರಿ ಅವರು ಲೋಕಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಸಂಸದ ಬಿ.ವೈ. ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರ ಅವರು ಕೇಳಿದ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗೆ ಉತ್ತರಿಸಿದ ಸಚಿವರು, ಸುಮಾರು ₹6,400 ಕೋಟಿ ಅಂದಾಜು ವೆಚ್ಚದಲ್ಲಿ 214.43 ಕಿಲೋಮೀಟರ್ ಉದ್ದದ ಈ ಯೋಜನೆಯ ಪ್ರಗತಿಯ ಕುರಿತು ವಿವರವಾದ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದರು.

ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಯೋಜನೆಯ ಒಟ್ಟು ನಾಲ್ಕು ಹಂತಗಳ ಪೈಕಿ ಮೂರು ಹಂತಗಳ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿ ಬಹುತೇಕ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, ಈಗಾಗಲೇ 197.42 ಕಿಲೋಮೀಟರ್ಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ರಸ್ತೆ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಉಳಿದ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿ ಕೂಡ ವೇಗವಾಗಿ ಸಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ನಿಗದಿತ ಅವಧಿಯೊಳಗೆ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಳ್ಳುವ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಹಂತವಾರು ಪ್ರಗತಿ ವಿವರ:
- ಮಲ್ಲಸಂದ್ರ–ಕರಡಿ (52.89 ಕಿ.ಮೀ.) ವಿಭಾಗ – 100% ಪೂರ್ಣ
- ಕರಡಿ–ಬಾಣಾವರ (56.70 ಕಿ.ಮೀ.) ವಿಭಾಗ – 98% ಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಪೂರ್ಣ
- ಬಾಣಾವರ–ಬೆಟ್ಟದಹಳ್ಳಿ (48.51 ಕಿ.ಮೀ.) ವಿಭಾಗ – 98% ಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಪೂರ್ಣ
- ಬೆಟ್ಟದಹಳ್ಳಿ–ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ (56.33 ಕಿ.ಮೀ.) ವಿಭಾಗ – 83.78% ಪ್ರಗತಿ
ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಂಡ ಹಂತಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಹನ ಸಂಚಾರ ಆರಂಭಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, ಉಳಿದ ಹಂತವೂ 2027ರ ಮಾರ್ಚ್ ಒಳಗೆ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಳ್ಳಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಸಚಿವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಭೂಸ್ವಾಧೀನ ಮತ್ತು ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಪ್ರಗತಿ
ಯೋಜನೆಗಾಗಿ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿರುವ 1,271.41 ಹೆಕ್ಟೇರ್ ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ 1,268.33 ಹೆಕ್ಟೇರ್ ಭೂಸ್ವಾಧೀನ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆದಾರರಿಗೆ ಹಸ್ತಾಂತರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಉಳಿದ ಭೂಸ್ವಾಧೀನ, ಅರಣ್ಯ ಅನುಮತಿಗಳು, ರೈಲ್ವೆ ಮೇಲ್ಸೇತುವೆ (ROB) ಹಾಗೂ ಕೆಳಸೇತುವೆ (RUB) ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಅಡೆತಡೆಗಳನ್ನು ‘ಭೂಮಿ ರಾಶಿ’ (Bhoomi Rashi) ಮತ್ತು ‘ಪರಿವೇಶ್’ (Parivesh) ಪೋರ್ಟಲ್ಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಹಂತ ಹಂತವಾಗಿ ಪರಿಹರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.
ಯೋಜನೆಯ ಲಾಭಗಳು
ಈ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಂಡ ಬಳಿಕ:
- ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ–ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಪ್ರಯಾಣದ ಅವಧಿ ಗಣನೀಯವಾಗಿ ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಗಲಿದೆ
- ಮಲೆನಾಡು ಭಾಗದ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರ, ಕೃಷಿ ಉತ್ಪನ್ನ ಸಾಗಾಣಿಕೆ ಸುಲಭವಾಗಲಿದೆ
- ಕೈಗಾರಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಹೂಡಿಕೆ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಲಿವೆ
- ಪ್ರವಾಸೋದ್ಯಮಕ್ಕೆ ಉತ್ತೇಜನ ದೊರೆಯಲಿದೆ
- ತುರ್ತು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಸೇವೆಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ಸುಗಮವಾಗಲಿದೆ
ಸಂಸದ ಬಿ.ವೈ. ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯೆ
ಯೋಜನೆ ಆರಂಭದಿಂದಲೇ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರದೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಿರಂತರ ಸಮನ್ವಯ ಸಾಧಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸಂಸದ ಬಿ.ವೈ. ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರ ಅವರು, ಈ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವು ಮಲೆನಾಡು ಜನರ ದಶಕಗಳ ಕನಸಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಅದನ್ನು ಸಾಕಾರಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿ ನರೇಂದ್ರ ಮೋದಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸಚಿವ ನಿತಿನ್ ಗಡ್ಕರಿ ಅವರ ವಿಶೇಷ ಸಹಕಾರ ದೊರೆತಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
“₹6,400 ಕೋಟಿಗೂ ಅಧಿಕ ಅನುದಾನ ನೀಡಿ ಈ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಯೋಜನೆಯನ್ನು ವೇಗವಾಗಿ ಮುಂದುವರಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿ ನರೇಂದ್ರ ಮೋದಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸಚಿವ ನಿತಿನ್ ಗಡ್ಕರಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಜನರ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಹೃತ್ಪೂರ್ವಕ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಕಾಮಗಾರಿ ಈಗ ಅಂತಿಮ ಹಂತದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು, ಉಳಿದಿರುವ ಭೂಸ್ವಾಧೀನ ಮತ್ತು ಯುಟಿಲಿಟಿ ಸ್ಥಳಾಂತರ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ತ್ವರಿತ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು,” ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಅಲ್ಲದೆ, ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಬಂಧಿತ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಡಳಿತವು ಬಾಕಿ ಇರುವ ಆಡಳಿತಾತ್ಮಕ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಶೀಘ್ರ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಈ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಯೋಜನೆ ಸಮಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಅಥವಾ ಅದಕ್ಕೂ ಮುನ್ನ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಳ್ಳಲು ಅಗತ್ಯ ಸಹಕಾರ ನೀಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Shivamogga –Tumakuru NH-69 Project in Final Stage; Set for Completion by March 2027
New Delhi: The ambitious four-lane development of the Shivamogga–Tumakuru National Highway-69 (formerly NH-206), which is set to significantly enhance connectivity between the Malnad region and Bengaluru, has reached its final stage. The entire project is expected to be completed by March 2027, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari informed the Lok Sabha.
Responding to a question raised by Shivamogga MP B.Y. Raghavendra, the Union Minister provided detailed updates on the progress of the project, which is being executed at an estimated cost of ₹6,400 crore and spans a total length of 214.43 kilometres.
According to the Ministry, out of the four project packages, work on three packages is almost complete. So far, more than 197.42 kilometres of road work has been completed, and the remaining stretch is progressing at a steady pace, with authorities expressing confidence in meeting the deadline.
Package-wise Progress:
- Mallasandra–Karadi (52.89 km): 100% completed
- Karadi–Banavara (56.70 km): Over 98% completed
- Banavara–Bettadahalli (48.51 km): Over 98% completed
- Bettadahalli–Shivamogga (56.33 km): 83.78% completed
Traffic has already commenced on the completed stretches, while the remaining section is expected to be finished within the scheduled timeline.
Land Acquisition & Technical Progress
Out of the required 1,271.41 hectares of land, acquisition of 1,268.33 hectares has already been completed and handed over to contractors. The remaining land acquisition, forest clearances, and technical issues related to Railway Over Bridges (ROB) and Under Bridges (RUB) are being addressed in phases through the Bhoomi Rashi and Parivesh portals, the government stated.
Expected Benefits
Once completed, the project is expected to:
- Significantly reduce travel time between Shivamogga and Bengaluru
- Boost trade and transportation of agricultural produce in the Malnad region
- Enhance industrial growth and investment opportunities
- Promote tourism in the region
- Improve access to emergency healthcare and education
MP B.Y. Raghavendra’s Statement
MP B.Y. Raghavendra, who has been consistently coordinating with the Central Government to expedite the project, stated that the highway has been a long-standing dream of the people of the Malnad region. He acknowledged the support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari in advancing the project.
“On behalf of the people of Shivamogga Lok Sabha constituency, I express my heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari for sanctioning over ₹6,400 crore and ensuring rapid progress of this crucial project. As the work has reached its final stage, the State Government and local authorities must act swiftly to complete the remaining land acquisition and utility shifting works,” he said.
He further urged the State Government and district administration to expedite pending administrative processes to ensure that this nationally significant project is completed within the stipulated time, or even ahead of schedule, for the benefit of the public.
