ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ (Shivamogga) ಸಮೀಪದ ಅರಸಾಳು (Arasalu) ರೈಲ್ವೆ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಭಾಗೀಯ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಪಕ (DRM) ಮುದಿತ್ ಮಿತ್ತಲ್ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಿದರು. ಇದೇ ವೇಳೆ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದ ಆವರಣದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ಮಾಲ್ಗುಡಿ ಮ್ಯೂಸಿಯಂಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ವೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿದರು.

ಡಿಆರ್‌ಎಂ ಅವರ ಭೇಟಿಯ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದಲ್ಲಿನ ಶುಚಿತ್ವ, ಕುಡಿಯುವ ನೀರಿನ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ, ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಮೂಲಸೌಕರ್ಯಗಳ ಕೊರತೆ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾಧ್ಯಮದವರು ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿದರು.

ಮ್ಯೂಸಿಯಂನ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗಾಗಿ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿರುವ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಅನುದಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಬೇಡಿಕೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಮಾಧ್ಯಮದವರ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯಿಸಿದ ಮುದಿತ್ ಮಿತ್ತಲ್, ಅರಸಾಳು ರೈಲ್ವೆ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕೆಲವು ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಗಮನಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿವೆ. ಈ ಕುರಿತು ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಸೂಚನೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳ ಪರಿಹಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ಅರಸಾಳು ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕರು ಸಂಚರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ನಿಲ್ದಾಣ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾಲ್ಗುಡಿ ಮ್ಯೂಸಿಯಂನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮರ್ಪಕ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮೂಲಸೌಕರ್ಯಗಳ ಕೊರತೆಯ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾಧ್ಯಮದವರು ಗಮನ ಸೆಳೆದರು.

ಮಾಲ್ಗುಡಿ ಮ್ಯೂಸಿಯಂ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ ಅನುದಾನ

ಮಾಲ್ಗುಡಿ ಮ್ಯೂಸಿಯಂ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಆದ್ಯತೆ ನೀಡದಿರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವೇನು ಎಂಬ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗೆ ಉತ್ತರಿಸಿದ ಡಿಆರ್‌ಎಂ ಮುದಿತ್ ಮಿತ್ತಲ್, ಮ್ಯೂಸಿಯಂನ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗಾಗಿ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿರುವ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಅನುದಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಬೇಡಿಕೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಅನುದಾನ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾದ ಬಳಿಕ ಮಾಲ್ಗುಡಿ ಮ್ಯೂಸಿಯಂ ಅನ್ನು ಅಗತ್ಯ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸಲು ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗುವುದು. ಮ್ಯೂಸಿಯಂಗೆ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಮೂಲಸೌಕರ್ಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸುವ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರಮ ವಹಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ಅವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ರೈಲ್ವೆ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯ ರೈಲುಗಳ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತ ಹಾಗೂ ಸುಗಮ ಸಂಚಾರವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುವುದಾಗಿದೆ. ರೈಲ್ವೆ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊರತುಪಡಿಸಿ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಾದ ಇತರೆ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ಚಿಂತಿಸಿ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಸಹಕಾರ ನೀಡಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಮುದಿತ್ ಮಿತ್ತಲ್ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಪಟ್ಟರು.

‘ಮಾಲ್ಗುಡಿ ಚಾಯ್’ನಲ್ಲಿ ಚಹಾ ಸವಿದ ಡಿಆರ್‌ಎಂ

ಅರಸಾಳು ರೈಲ್ವೆ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದ ವಿವಿಧ ವಿಭಾಗಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಿದ ಬಳಿಕ ಮುದಿತ್ ಮಿತ್ತಲ್ ಅವರು ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ‘ಮಾಲ್ಗುಡಿ ಚಾಯ್’ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಚಹಾ ಸವಿದು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕೆಲಕಾಲ ಮಾತುಕತೆ ನಡೆಸಿದರು.

ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಆರ್‌ಪಿಎಫ್ ಉಸ್ತುವಾರಿ ಕೊಂಡ ರೆಡ್ಡಿ, ಜಗದೀಶ್, ಮೂರ್ತಿ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಹಲವು ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.

DRM Mudit Mittal Visits Arasalu Railway Station; Assures Action on Infrastructure Issues

Ripponpet: Mysuru Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Mudit Mittal visited Arasalu Railway Station near Ripponpet and inspected the facilities and overall condition of the station. During the visit, he also toured the Malgudi Museum located within the station premises.

During his inspection, media representatives raised concerns over the lack of cleanliness, drinking water facilities, maintenance and other essential infrastructure at the railway station.

DRM Assures Action on Issues

Responding to the concerns, Mudit Mittal said that the issues at Arasalu Railway Station had come to his notice. He assured that the concerned officials would be instructed to take necessary measures to address the problems.

Arasalu Railway Station witnesses a considerable number of passengers, and questions were also raised about the lack of adequate maintenance and infrastructure at both the station and the Malgudi Museum.

Additional Funds Sought for Malgudi Museum

When asked why the Railway Department had not given greater priority to the development of the Malgudi Museum, the DRM said that a proposal seeking additional funds for its development had already been submitted.

He said that once the required funds are released, necessary development works will be undertaken at the museum. The aim is to improve the facilities and infrastructure at the museum and make it more visitor-friendly.

Local Bodies Must Take Up Local Development Works

Mudit Mittal said the primary responsibility of the Railway Department is to ensure the safe and efficient operation of trains.

He added that local development works outside the core responsibilities of the Railways should be taken up by the state government and concerned local authorities. The Railway Department, he said, would extend necessary cooperation wherever required.

DRM Visits ‘Malgudi Chai’

After inspecting various facilities at Arasalu Railway Station, Mudit Mittal visited the ‘Malgudi Chai’ outlet at the station and enjoyed a cup of tea.

RPF in-charge Konda Reddy, along with Jagadish, Murthy and several other railway officials, were present during the visit.
