ಇತ್ತೀಚಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪೋನ್ ಕರೆಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಮೊಬೈಲ್ ಸಂದೇಶಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಜನರನ್ನು ಸಂಪರ್ಕಿಸುವ ಸೈಬರ್ ವಂಚಕರು ನಾನಾ ಆಮಿಷಗಳನ್ನು ಒಡ್ಡಿ ಹಣ ದೋಚುತ್ತಿರುವ ಘಟನೆಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚುತ್ತಿರುವ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ (Digital Arrest) ಡಿಜಿಟಲ್ ಅರೆಸ್ಟ್ & ಸೈಬರ್ ವಂಚನೆ ಕುರಿತಾಗಿ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ ವಹಿಸುವುದು ಅಗತ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಶಿಕಾರಿಪುರ ನಗರ ಠಾಣೆಯ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಸಹಾಯಕ ತನಿಖಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಜಿ.ಎನ್. ರವಿಕುಮಾರ್ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ನಗರದ ಭವಾನಿ ರಾವ್ ಕೇರಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ವಿವೇಕಾನಂದ ವಿದ್ಯಾಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಅಂಗ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಕುಮದ್ವತಿ ಪ್ರೌಢಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದ ಶಾಲಾ ಸಂಸತ್ತು ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿ ಅವರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಾನೂನು ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸಿದರು.
Digital Arrest ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಂಚನೆ
ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು, ಹಣಕಾಸು ವಂಚನೆ, ಹೂಡಿಕೆ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮೋಸ, ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯ ದುರ್ಬಳಕೆ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಹಲವಾರು ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೈಬರ್ ಅಪರಾಧಿಗಳು ಜನರನ್ನು ಬಲೆಗೆ ಬೀಳಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ‘ಡಿಜಿಟಲ್ ಅರೆಸ್ಟ್’ ಎಂಬ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಹ ಹಲವರನ್ನು ಭಯಭೀತರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಹಣ ದೋಚುತ್ತಿರುವ ಘಟನೆಗಳು ವರದಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಿವೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಯಾವುದೇ ಅಪರಿಚಿತ ಕರೆಗಳು ಅಥವಾ ಸಂದೇಶಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ವಿವರಗಳು, OTP, ಪಾಸ್ವರ್ಡ್ಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು. ಅನುಮಾನಾಸ್ಪದ ಸಂದೇಶಗಳು ಬಂದಲ್ಲಿ ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಪೊಲೀಸರಿಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಬೇಕು. ತುರ್ತು ಸಹಾಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ 112 ಅಥವಾ 1930 ಸಹಾಯವಾಣಿ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಗೆ ಕರೆ ಮಾಡುವಂತೆ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಗೆ ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿದ ಕುಮದ್ವತಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಪ್ರಾಚಾರ್ಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಆಡಳಿತ ಮಂಡಳಿಯ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿ ಶಿವಕುಮಾರ್ ಜಿ.ಎಸ್ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಇತರರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹೋಲಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರವಾಗಿ ಚಿಂತನೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. ನಾಯಕತ್ವ ಗುಣಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ಜೀವನವು ಪೆನ್ಸಿಲ್ನಂತೆ ಇರಬೇಕು—ತಪ್ಪುಗಳನ್ನು ಸರಿಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾ ಉತ್ತಮ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾದರಿಯಾಗಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆ ವಹಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಶಾಲಾ ಪ್ರಾಚಾರ್ಯ ವಿಶ್ವನಾಥ ಪಿ, ನಾಯಕತ್ವವು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಡುವುದರಿಂದ ಬರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಅದನ್ನು ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಳವಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಾಗ ಮಾತ್ರ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯು ನಾಯಕನಾಗಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯ. ಇಂದಿನ ಯುವಜನರು ಸಮಾಜದ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಚಿಂತನೆ ನಡೆಸಿ, ಎಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ಸಮಾನವಾಗಿ ಕಾಣುವ ಗುಣಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಸಲಹೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.

ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕಿ ಚಂದ್ರಮತಿ ಎಸ್.ಟಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿವಿಧ ಖಾತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಶಾಲಾ ಸಂಸತ್ತಿನ ನಾಯಕನಾಗಿ ಚನ್ನವೀರಯ್ಯ ಹಾಗೂ ನಾಯಕಿಯಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಣಿತಾ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ವಚನ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿದರು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಭಾರಿ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಾದ ಪ್ರಶಾಂತ ಕುಬಸದ, ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರು, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ವರ್ಗ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ನಿಸರ್ಗ ಮತ್ತು ತಂಡ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು. ಗಾನವಿ ವಿ. ವಾಲಿ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿ, ಬಿಂದು ಡಿ.ಕೆ ವಂದಿಸಿದರು. ಕೀರ್ತನ ಮತ್ತು ನಿಕಿತಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಿರೂಪಣೆ ನಡೆಸಿದರು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾನೂನು ಅರಿವು ಹಾಗೂ ನಾಯಕತ್ವ ಗುಣಗಳ ಬೆಳೆವಣಿಗೆಗೆ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆ ನೀಡಿತು.
Awareness on Cyber Fraud Essential: Ravikumar G.N
With the increasing incidents of cyber fraudsters targeting people through phone calls and mobile messages by offering various temptations and cheating them of money, the public must remain highly vigilant, said Ravikumar G.N, Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police, Shikaripura Town Police Station.
He was speaking as the chief guest at the School Parliament inauguration program organised at Kumadvathi High School, an institution under Swami Vivekananda Educational Society, located in Bhavani Rao Keri of the town, where he also created awareness among students about legal issues.
Addressing the gathering, he said cyber criminals are trapping people through financial frauds, fake investment schemes, and misuse of personal information. Recently, cases of fraud under the name of “digital arrest” have also been reported, where people are intimidated and cheated.
He advised the public not to share bank details, OTPs, or passwords with unknown callers or messages. In case of suspicious calls or messages, people should immediately inform the police. For assistance, they can contact helpline numbers 112 or 1930, he added.
The program was inaugurated by Shivakumar G.S, Principal of Kumadvathi College of Education and representative of the management. Speaking on the occasion, he advised students not to compare themselves with others but to think independently and develop leadership qualities. He said life should be like a pencil—constantly improving, correcting mistakes, and contributing positively to society.
Presiding over the function, School Principal Vishwanath P said leadership does not come merely by being told, but by practising and implementing values in life. He encouraged students to develop leadership qualities, engage with society, and treat everyone equally.
On the occasion, teacher Chandramathi S.T distributed portfolios to students. Channaveerayya took oath as the School Leader and Pranitha as the Leader (Head Girl).
The event was attended by Acting Headmaster Prashanth Kubasad, teachers, students, and staff. Nisarga and team rendered the prayer. Ganavi V. Vali welcomed the gathering, Bindu D.K delivered the vote of thanks, and the program was compered by Keerthana and Nikitha.
