The 41st meeting of the Divisional Railway Users’ Consultative Committee (DRUCC) of Hubballi Railway Division was held today at the Divisional Railway Conference Hall in Hubballi. The meeting focused on improving passenger services, safety, and infrastructure across the division.
Focus on Passenger-Friendly Development
Chairing the meeting, Smt. Bela Meena, Divisional Railway Manager, stated that the Hubballi Railway Division is being developed into a more passenger-friendly division by giving top priority to passenger safety, convenience, and comfort.
She also informed that redevelopment works under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme are progressing at Vasco da Gama and Ballari railway stations.
Presentation on Achievements and Initiatives
Dr. Kartik V. Hegadekatti, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager and Secretary of DRUCC, delivered a detailed PowerPoint presentation highlighting the achievements and key initiatives of the Hubballi Railway Division.
All DRUCC members appreciated the division’s progress and ongoing efforts to enhance passenger experience.
Members Appreciate Special Train Services
DRUCC member Shri Chandrakant Gawas appreciated the introduction of the special train service between Vasco da Gama and Velankanni during festive and special occasions, noting that it has greatly benefited passengers.

Wide Participation from Stakeholders
The meeting was attended by representatives from the Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, registered passengers’ associations, nominees of public representatives, trade and business bodies, and DRUCC members representing various sectors.
Additional Divisional Railway Managers Shri T. V. Bhushan and Shri Prem Chandra, along with senior officials of the Hubballi Railway Division, F.S. Siddanagouda, Kiran Deenanath Naik, Uday Revankar, Anand Mudalgi, Birbal Bishnoi, B.V. Salimath, V.G. Hiregoudar, Ashok Kumar Limbavale, Giridhar Sontha, D.R. Rathi were also present at the meeting.
The meeting served as an important platform for interaction between railway officials and stakeholders, with a shared focus on further improving passenger amenities and strengthening railway services in the Hubballi Division.
