Two athletes from the District Youth Empowerment and Sports Department Sports School in Shivamogga have won gold medals at the South India Under-15 Wrestling Championship held in Puducherry on May 16 and 17.
Anil Kumar Soudhi secured a gold medal in the Freestyle 41 kg category, while Manoj Bhajantri won gold in the Greco-Roman 52 kg category.

Both athletes are currently training at the department’s sports hostel. The winners were congratulated by Assistant Director Rekhya Nayak, wrestling coaches Rajappa M. Phalke and Sanjay E., along with other staff members.
