Southern Railway has announced the partial cancellation of certain train services to facilitate the safe execution of engineering works.
On July 14, 2026, Train No. 66550 KSR Bengaluru–Jolarpettai MEMU will be partially cancelled between Somanayakkanpatti and Jolarpettai and will short-terminate at Somanayakkanpatti instead of Jolarpettai. Similarly, Train No. 66549 Jolarpettai–KSR Bengaluru MEMU will be partially cancelled between Jolarpettai and Somanayakkanpatti and will originate from Somanayakkanpatti instead of Jolarpettai.

On July 10, 12, 15, 17, 19, and 22, 2026, Train No. 16552 Ashokapuram–Dr. MGR Chennai Central Express will be partially cancelled between Katpadi and Dr. MGR Chennai Central and will short-terminate at Katpadi. Meanwhile, Train No. 12607 Dr. MGR Chennai Central–KSR Bengaluru Lalbagh Express will be partially cancelled between Dr. MGR Chennai Central and Katpadi and will originate from Katpadi instead of Dr. MGR Chennai Central, Southern Railway said in a statement.
