ಕುಡಿದ ಅಮಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಟುಂಬಸ್ಥರ ಮೇಲೆ ಗಲಾಟೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಹಲ್ಲೆ ನಡೆಸಲು ಮುಂದಾಗಿದ್ದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಆತನ ಮಗನೇ ಕತ್ತುಹಿಸುಕಿ ಕೊಂದಿರುವ (Crime News) ಘಟನೆ ಭದ್ರಾವತಿ (Bhadravathi) ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಹೊಳೆಹೊನ್ನೂರಿನ (Holehonnur) ಅರಶಿನಘಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾನುವಾರ ರಾತ್ರಿ ನಡೆದಿದೆ.
ಮೃತರನ್ನು ಶಿವಗ ನಾಯ್ಕ (55) ಎಂದು ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಆರೋಪಿ ಪುತ್ರನನ್ನು ಮಂಜುನಾಥ ನಾಯ್ಕ ಎಂದು ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಅರಶಿನಗಟ್ಟ ತಾಂಡಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಕಲಹವು ದಾರುಣ ತಿರುವು ಪಡೆದಿದೆ.
ಸಾಲದ ವಿಚಾರದಿಂದ ಕುಟುಂಬ ಕಲಹ ಆರಂಭ
ಎಫ್ಐಆರ್’ನಲ್ಲಿ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿರುವ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯಂತೆ, ಶಿವಗ ನಾಯ್ಕ ಅವರು ಹೊಸ ಮನೆ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಹಾಗೂ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಪುತ್ರರ ವಿವಾಹಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಸಾಲ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ವಿಚಾರವಾಗಿ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪದೇಪದೇ ಗಲಾಟೆ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ನಂತರ ಶಿವಗ ನಾಯ್ಕ ಅವರು ಪತ್ನಿ, ಇಬ್ಬರು ಪುತ್ರರು ಹಾಗೂ ಸೊಸೆಯರನ್ನು ಹೊಸ ಮನೆಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಅವರು ಹಳೆಯ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದರು.
ಆದರೆ ಶಿವಗ ನಾಯ್ಕ ಅವರು ಮದ್ಯಪಾನ ಮಾಡಿ ಆಗಾಗ ಹಳೆಯ ಮನೆಗೆ ಬಂದು ಗಲಾಟೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೆಂದು ದೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ತಾಯಿಗೆ ಹಲ್ಲೆ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ವೇಳೆ ಮಧ್ಯಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿದ ಪುತ್ರ
ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 2ರಂದು ರಾತ್ರಿ ಸುಮಾರು 8 ಗಂಟೆ ವೇಳೆಗೆ, ಶಿವಗ ನಾಯ್ಕ ಮದ್ಯದ ಅಮಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹಳೆಯ ಮನೆಗೆ ಬಂದು, ಈ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಬಾರದು, ಮನೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗಿ ಎಂದು ಪತ್ನಿ ಪಾರ್ವತಿ ಬಾಯಿಗೆ ಅವಾಚ್ಯ ಶಬ್ದಗಳಿಂದ ನಿಂದಿಸಿ, ಹಲ್ಲೆ ನಡೆಸಲು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎನ್ನಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಈ ವೇಳೆ ಅಲ್ಲೆ ಇದ್ದ ಪುತ್ರ ಮಂಜುನಾಥ ನಾಯ್ಕ, ನನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಗೆ ಏಕೆ ಹೊಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದೀರಿ? ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿ ಮಧ್ಯಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಇದರಿಂದ ತಂದೆ-ಮಗನ ನಡುವೆ ಮಾತಿನ ಚಕಮಕಿ ತೀವ್ರಗೊಂಡು, ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಪರಸ್ಪರ ಹೊಡೆದಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಜಗಳದ ವೇಳೆ ಮಂಜುನಾಥ ನಾಯ್ಕ ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಕುತ್ತಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಕೈಗಳಿಂದ ಬಿಗಿಯಾಗಿ ಹಿಸುಕಿದ ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಶಿವಗ ನಾಯ್ಕ ಉಸಿರಾಟದ ತೊಂದರೆಯಿಂದ ನೆಲಕ್ಕುರುಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ದೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಗಲಾಟೆಯ ಶಬ್ದ ಕೇಳಿ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಕರಾದ ಮಹೇಶ್ ನಾಯ್ಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಕೀರ್ಯಾ ನಾಯ್ಕ ಅವರು ಇಬ್ಬರನ್ನು ಬೇರ್ಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಬಳಿಕ ಶಿವಗ ನಾಯ್ಕ ಅವರನ್ನು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ಕರೆದೊಯ್ಯಲು ಯತ್ನಿಸಿದಾಗ ಅವರು ಪ್ರಜ್ಞೆ ತಪ್ಪಿದ್ದು, ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಿದಾಗ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲೇ ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟಿರುವುದು ತಿಳಿದುಬಂದಿದೆ.

ಪತ್ನಿಯಿಂದಲೇ ಪುತ್ರನ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ದೂರು
ಘಟನೆಯ ಬಳಿಕ ಮೃತನ ಪತ್ನಿ ಪಾರ್ವತಿ ಬಾಯಿ (51) ಹೊಳೆಹೊನ್ನೂರು ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಗೆ ದೂರು ನೀಡಿದ್ದು, ತನ್ನ ಪುತ್ರ ಮಂಜುನಾಥ ನಾಯ್ಕನೇ ತನ್ನ ಗಂಡನ ಕುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಹಿಸುಕಿ ಕೊಲೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಎಂದು ಆರೋಪಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಘಟನೆ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ ಹೊಳೆಹೊನ್ನೂರು ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಪರಾಧ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ 211/2026ರಡಿ ಭಾರತೀಯ ನ್ಯಾಯ ಸಂಹಿತೆ ಕಲಂ 103(1) ಅನ್ವಯ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಹೊಳೆಹೊನ್ನೂರು ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಆರೋಪಿಯನ್ನು ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಪಡೆದು ತನಿಖೆ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮೃತದೇಹವನ್ನು ಮರಣೋತ್ತರ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗೆ ರವಾನಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ವರದಿ ಬಂದ ಬಳಿಕ ಸಾವಿನ ನಿಖರ ಕಾರಣ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಲಿದೆ.
ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಪ್ರಕರಣದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಆಯಾಮಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ತನಿಖೆ ಮುಂದುವರೆಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Crime News : Son Allegedly Strangles Father to Death in Shivamogga
Bhadravati: A family dispute allegedly ended in a tragic murder after a son reportedly strangled his father to death during an argument at Arashinagatta Tanda village under Holehonnur Police Station limits in Bhadravathi taluk of Shivamogga district on Sunday night.
The deceased has been identified as Shivaga Naik (55), a daily wage labourer. The accused, Manjunatha Naik, has been booked under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023. A case has been registered at Holehonnur Police Station as Crime No. 211/2026.
According to the FIR, Shivaga Naik had constructed a new house and incurred heavy debts after building the house and arranging the marriages of his two sons. The financial burden allegedly led to frequent quarrels within the family. Following repeated disputes, Shivaga Naik reportedly asked his wife, sons, and daughters-in-law to leave the new house, after which they began living in an older house nearby.
Police said Shivaga Naik frequently visited the old house in an intoxicated condition and allegedly created disturbances.
On the night of August 2, at around 8:00 p.m., Shivaga Naik allegedly arrived at the old house after consuming alcohol and demanded that the family vacate the premises. He is also alleged to have verbally abused and assaulted his wife, Parvathi Bai (51).
Hearing the commotion, his elder son Manjunatha intervened and questioned his father for assaulting his mother. This reportedly led to a heated argument, which soon escalated into a physical fight between the father and son.
During the altercation, Manjunatha allegedly grabbed his father’s neck and strangled him. Shivaga Naik reportedly collapsed and became unconscious.
Family members and neighbours rushed to the spot after hearing the noise and separated the two. They attempted to take Shivaga Naik to a hospital, but he was found to have died before he could receive medical treatment.
Based on a complaint lodged by the deceased’s wife, Holehonnur Police registered a murder case against Manjunatha Naik. The accused has been taken into custody, and further investigation is underway.
Police have sent the body for post-mortem examination, and further legal proceedings are in progress.
