ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು (Bangalore) ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನೀತಿ (National Education Policy)-2020ರ ಧ್ಯೇಯೋದ್ದೇಶಗಳು, ವೈಶಿಷ್ಟ್ಯಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಅದು ತರಲಿರುವ ಬದಲಾವಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಲೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ಬಿಂಬಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಜೈನ್ ಡೀಮ್ಡ್ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ (Jain University) ಡಿಸೈನ್, ಮೀಡಿಯಾ ಮತ್ತು ಸೃಜನಶೀಲ ಕಲೆಗಳ ಶಾಲೆ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಸಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡಿದೆ. ಶಾಲೆಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು, ಬೋಧಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಜಂಟಿಯಾಗಿ ರಚಿಸಿರುವ ಬೃಹತ್ ಭಿತ್ತಿಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ಬುಕ್ ಆಫ್ ರೆಕಾರ್ಡ್ಸ್-2026 ಮತ್ತು ಏಷ್ಯಾ ಬುಕ್ ಆಫ್ ರೆಕಾರ್ಡ್ಸ್-2026 ಮಾನ್ಯತೆ ದೊರೆತಿದೆ.
200 ಅಡಿ ಉದ್ದದ ಬೃಹತ್ ಭಿತ್ತಿಚಿತ್ರ
ಎನ್ಇಪಿ-2020ರ ಆಶಯಗಳನ್ನು ದೃಶ್ಯರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಡುವ ಈ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಭಿತ್ತಿಚಿತ್ರವು 200 ಅಡಿ ಉದ್ದ ಮತ್ತು 2 ಅಡಿ ಅಗಲ ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಡಿಸೈನ್, ಮೀಡಿಯಾ ಮತ್ತು ಸೃಜನಶೀಲ ಕಲೆಗಳ ಶಾಲೆಯ 150 ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ 40 ಬೋಧಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಈ ಬೃಹತ್ ಕಲಾಕೃತಿಯನ್ನು ಪರಿಕಲ್ಪಿಸಿ, ವಿನ್ಯಾಸಗೊಳಿಸಿ, ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಒಂದು ನಿರ್ದಿಷ್ಟ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ಆಧರಿಸಿ ನೂರಾರು ಮಂದಿ ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಕೈಜೋಡಿಸಿ ಕಲಾಕೃತಿ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿರುವುದು ಈ ಯೋಜನೆಯ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ವಿಶೇಷತೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಸೃಜನಶೀಲತೆ, ಬೋಧಕರ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ, ಅಂತರಶಿಸ್ತೀಯ ಕಲಿಕೆಯ ವಿಧಾನ, ತಂಡದ ಕೆಲಸ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾಮೂಹಿಕ ಹೊಣೆಗಾರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಈ ಭಿತ್ತಿಚಿತ್ರ ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

ಭಿತ್ತಿಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನೀತಿ-2020ರ ವಿವಿಧ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಅಂಶಗಳನ್ನು ಕಲಾತ್ಮಕವಾಗಿ ಚಿತ್ರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಸಮಗ್ರ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ, ಬಹುಶಿಸ್ತೀಯ ಕಲಿಕೆ, ಭಾರತೀಯ ಜ್ಞಾನ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಗಳು, ಕೌಶಲ್ಯಾಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ, ಉದ್ಯೋಗಸಾಧ್ಯತೆ, ಅನುಭವಾಧಾರಿತ ಕಲಿಕೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಒಳಗೊಳ್ಳುವ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಹಲವು ಪ್ರಮುಖ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ದೃಶ್ಯರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಚಯಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಅದೇ ರೀತಿ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಾವೀನ್ಯತೆ, ವಿಮರ್ಶಾತ್ಮಕ ಚಿಂತನೆ, ಡಿಜಿಟಲ್ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ, ವೃತ್ತಿಪರ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ, ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಪೌರತ್ವ, ಭವಿಷ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿದ್ಧವಾದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ, ಪರಿಸರ ಸುಸ್ಥಿರತೆ, ಅಡಿಪಾಯದ ಸಾಕ್ಷರತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಖ್ಯಾಜ್ಞಾನ, ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಲಾ ಸಮ್ಮಿಳನ, ಸಮಾನತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶ ಮುಂತಾದ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕಲಾಕೃತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ಮೂಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಪರಿಸರ ಸ್ನೇಹಿ ಬಣ್ಣಗಳ ಬಳಕೆ
ಈ ಬೃಹತ್ ಕಲಾಕೃತಿಯ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಪ್ರಮುಖ ವೈಶಿಷ್ಟ್ಯವೆಂದರೆ ನೈಸರ್ಗಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಪರಿಸರ ಸ್ನೇಹಿ ಬಣ್ಣಗಳ ಬಳಕೆ. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯವಾಗಿ ಲಭ್ಯವಿರುವ ಹಾಗೂ ಸುಸ್ಥಿರ ವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬಣ್ಣಗಳನ್ನು ತಯಾರಿಸಿ ಭಿತ್ತಿಚಿತ್ರ ರಚನೆಗೆ ಬಳಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಇದರ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ಜ್ಞಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲಗಳನ್ನು ಸಮಕಾಲೀನ ಕಲಾ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಂಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಪರಿಸರದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯುತ ಮನೋಭಾವ ಬೆಳೆಸುವ ಜೊತೆಗೆ, ಕಲಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸುಸ್ಥಿರತೆಯನ್ನು ಅಳವಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದು ಎಂಬ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ಈ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ನೀಡಿದೆ.

ಈ ಯೋಜನೆಯು ಕೇವಲ ದಾಖಲೆ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಕೈಗೊಂಡ ಕಲಾ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನವಾಗಿರದೆ, ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ವಿವಿಧ ಆಯಾಮಗಳನ್ನು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಲಾತ್ಮಕವಾಗಿ ಅರ್ಥೈಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಅವಕಾಶವನ್ನೂ ಒದಗಿಸಿದೆ. ಎನ್ಇಪಿ-2020ರಂತಹ ವಿಶಾಲವಾದ ನೀತಿಯ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಆಶಯಗಳನ್ನು ಚಿತ್ರ, ಬಣ್ಣ ಮತ್ತು ದೃಶ್ಯ ಸಂಕೇತಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಅಭಿವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಸೃಜನಶೀಲತೆ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿಷಯದ ಅರಿವನ್ನು ಒಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಅಂತರಶಿಸ್ತೀಯ ಕಲಿಕೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ವಿನ್ಯಾಸ, ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ, ಪರಿಸರ, ಭಾರತೀಯ ಜ್ಞಾನ ಪರಂಪರೆ, ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯಂತಹ ವಿವಿಧ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಒಂದೇ ಕಲಾಕೃತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದರಿಂದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಲಿಕೆಯು ಪಠ್ಯಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೀಮಿತವಾಗದೆ ಅನುಭವ ಹಾಗೂ ಸೃಜನಶೀಲತೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬೆಸೆಯುವಂತಾಗಿದೆ.

ಎನ್ಇಪಿ-2020ರ ಕುರಿತ ಈ ಬೃಹತ್ ಭಿತ್ತಿಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ಬುಕ್ ಆಫ್ ರೆಕಾರ್ಡ್ಸ್-2026 ಮತ್ತು ಏಷ್ಯಾ ಬುಕ್ ಆಫ್ ರೆಕಾರ್ಡ್ಸ್-2026 ಮಾನ್ಯತೆ ದೊರೆತಿರುವುದು ಜೈನ್ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಡಿಸೈನ್ ಶಾಲೆಗೆ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಗೌರವವಾಗಿದೆ.

200-Foot Mural Showcasing the Significance of National Education Policy-2020 Earns Recognition
Bengaluru: The School of Design, Media and Creative Arts at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) has achieved a significant milestone by creating a massive mural highlighting the vision, objectives and key features of the National Education Policy (NEP)-2020. The collaborative artwork has earned recognition from both the India Book of Records 2026 and the Asia Book of Records 2026.
200-Foot Mural Created by Students and Faculty
The mural, which visually presents the core objectives of NEP-2020, measures 200 feet in length and 2 feet in width. It was conceptualised and created collaboratively by 150 students and 40 faculty and staff members of the School of Design, Media and Creative Arts.
The initiative brought together students and faculty members in a collective creative effort, reflecting the values of creativity, interdisciplinary learning, teamwork and active participation. The project also provided students with an opportunity to explore the principles of the National Education Policy through visual storytelling and contemporary art.
NEP-2020 Themes Presented Through Art
The mural captures several important dimensions of NEP-2020 through a range of visual representations. Key themes depicted include holistic education, multidisciplinary learning, Indian Knowledge Systems, skill development and employability, experiential learning and inclusive education.
The artwork also highlights research and innovation, critical thinking, digital education, vocational education, global citizenship, future-ready education, environmental sustainability, foundational literacy and numeracy, integration of arts in education, equality and access to education, along with the role of teachers as facilitators and motivators.
Through these visual elements, the mural seeks to communicate the transformative vision of NEP-2020 and its emphasis on creating an education system that is inclusive, multidisciplinary, innovative and future-oriented.
Focus on Sustainable and Eco-Friendly Practices
A key feature of the mural is the use of natural and environmentally friendly colours prepared from sustainable and locally available materials.
The initiative connects traditional knowledge and local resources with contemporary art practices while promoting environmentally responsible creativity among students. The use of eco-friendly materials also reflects the importance given to sustainability under the broader vision of NEP-2020.
Blending Art, Education and Indian Knowledge Systems
The project goes beyond being a record-setting artistic endeavour. It demonstrates how art can be integrated with education to create meaningful and experiential learning opportunities.
By bringing together design, education, sustainability, technology, Indian knowledge traditions and social responsibility, the mural represents an interdisciplinary approach to learning. Students were able to interpret complex educational concepts through colours, illustrations and visual narratives, making the themes of NEP-2020 more accessible and engaging.

The recognition by the India Book of Records 2026 and Asia Book of Records 2026 marks a significant achievement for JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) and its School of Design, Media and Creative Arts.
