ಆಂಧ್ರಪ್ರದೇಶ ಫೋಟೋ ಜರ್ನಲಿಸ್ಟ್ ಅಸೋಸಿಯೇಷನ್ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಛಾಯಾಚಿತ್ರ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆ-2026ರಲ್ಲಿ (Photojournalist) ಪತ್ರಿಕಾ ಹಾಗೂ ವನ್ಯಜೀವಿ ಛಾಯಾಗ್ರಾಹಕ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ನಾಗರಾಜ್ (Shivamogga) ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕನ್ಸೋಲೇಶನ್ ಅವಾರ್ಡ್ ಲಭಿಸಿದೆ.
ಶಿಕಾರಿಪುರದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಸೆರೆಹಿಡಿದ ‘ಹೋರಿ ಹಬ್ಬ’ದ ಛಾಯಾಚಿತ್ರವು ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯ ಸ್ಪಾಟ್ ನ್ಯೂಸ್ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗೆ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ಆಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಬಿಂಬಿಸುವ ಈ ಚಿತ್ರ ಛಾಯಾಚಿತ್ರ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಗಮನ ಸೆಳೆದಿದೆ.
ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಅಕಾಡೆಮಿ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯಲ್ಲೂ ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆ
ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ನಾಗರಾಜ್ ಅವರು ಸೆರೆಹಿಡಿದ ಇದೇ ಛಾಯಾಚಿತ್ರವು ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮ ಅಕಾಡೆಮಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಮಟ್ಟದ ಛಾಯಾಚಿತ್ರ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆಗೆ ಪಾತ್ರವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಚಿತ್ರಕಲಾ ಪರಿಷತ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದ ಎರಡು ದಿನಗಳ ಛಾಯಾಚಿತ್ರ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನಕ್ಕೂ ಈ ಚಿತ್ರ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ದೇಶ-ವಿದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನಗೊಂಡ ಛಾಯಾಚಿತ್ರಗಳು
ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ನಾಗರಾಜ್ ಅವರು ಸೆರೆಹಿಡಿದಿರುವ ಹಲವು ಛಾಯಾಚಿತ್ರಗಳು ದೇಶ-ವಿದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ವಿವಿಧ ಛಾಯಾಚಿತ್ರ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನಗೊಂಡಿವೆ. ಅವರ ಹಲವು ಚಿತ್ರಗಳು ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಥಮ ಹಾಗೂ ದ್ವಿತೀಯ ಬಹುಮಾನಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಚಿನ್ನ ಮತ್ತು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಪದಕಗಳನ್ನೂ ಪಡೆದಿವೆ.
ಛಾಯಾಚಿತ್ರ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸಾಧನೆ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕಕ್ಕೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಗೌರವ ತಂದುಕೊಟ್ಟಿದೆ.

ಛಾಯಾಚಿತ್ರಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ನಿರಂತರ ಜನಜಾಗೃತಿ
ಪ್ರತಿವರ್ಷ ತಾವು ಸೆರೆಹಿಡಿದಿರುವ ಛಾಯಾಚಿತ್ರಗಳ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ನಾಗರಾಜ್ ಅವರು ಜನಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮೂಡಿಸುವ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಪ್ರಕೃತಿ, ವನ್ಯಜೀವಿ, ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಬದುಕನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಛಾಯಾಚಿತ್ರಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ದಾಖಲಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಅವರು, ಛಾಯಾಚಿತ್ರ ಕಲೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂದೇಶ ನೀಡುವ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Shivamogga Photographer Nagaraj Wins Consolation Award
Shivamogga: Photographer and photojournalist Shivamogga Nagaraj has won a Consolation Award in the National Photography Competition-2026 organized by the Andhra Pradesh Photo Journalists Association.
His photograph of ‘Hori Habba’, captured in Shikaripura, was selected for the award in the Spot News category. The photograph, which showcases rural culture and a traditional celebration, has attracted attention in the field of photography.
Photograph Also Appreciated by Karnataka Media Academy
The same photograph captured by Shivamogga Nagaraj was recently appreciated in the national-level photography competition organized by the Karnataka Media Academy. It was also selected for a two-day photography exhibition held at Chitrakala Parishath in Bengaluru.

Several photographs captured by Shivamogga Nagaraj have been featured in various photography exhibitions held across India and abroad. His works have also won several awards, including first and second prizes as well as gold and silver medals in different competitions.
His achievements in the field of photography have brought recognition to Shivamogga district and Karnataka.
